Former president George W. Bush addressed the nationwide protests in a solemn yet hopeful statement Tuesday, commending the Americans demonstrating against racial injustice and criticizing those who try to silence them.
Bush closed his statement, which came a day after peaceful protesters were cleared by force to make way for President Trump to come outside, by pointing to a “better way.”
“There is a better way — the way of empathy, and shared commitment, and bold action, and a peace rooted in justice,” Bush said in the statement. “I am confident that together, Americans will choose the better way.”
Describing himself as “anguished” by the death of George Floyd, who died more than a week ago after his held was held under the knee of a white Minneapolis police officer, Bush urged white Americans to seek ways to support, listen and understand black Americans who still face “disturbing bigotry and exploitation.”

I was a strong supporter of George W. Bush over Iraq (I had a son in that fight), but he has turned into a squish.
Probably trying to take revenge on Trump for ending Jeb’s presidential run and the Bush dynasty.
I would have more faith in a “Duck Dynasty” dynasty in the White House than Geo. W. today.

GWB ran and hid on 9-11. Then he padded into a Mosque and stammered “Islam means peace”. Then he covered up the role of his Saudi buddies in the attack, starting with hustling them out of the country while Americans were still grounded. Then he invaded Iraq for no real reason other than the Saudis wanted their rival thug gone and didn’t care how many American would die while their useless men hung out in shopping malls. Somewhere along the line he appointed a dud SCOTUS Chief while ruining brand GOP to the extent that Hussein Obama waltzed to an easy win.
And now the failed President is a failed ex-President - silent except to occasionally pop up to slander conservatives who don’t share his dream of open borders and an end to our homeland.
If I could have done it over again, I would have voted for Ma Richards over this guy.
