Unfortunately, the Royal Couple, Jared in particular, have waged a campaign to talk DJY into allowing criminals out of prison en mass as a way to the black vote and will find a way to talk him out of using the US mil to any good effect.

one Humvee in middle of street
crowd of looters marching toward Humvee
Taunting calls, bricks at the ready

more taunting calls bricks thrown

But the mil has both a stink and pain crowd dispersal weapons - one makes a smell that only the stinkiest of skunks would love; the other radiates causing your skin to feel like it is on fire. Snowflakes will complain, of course.

D.C. is a Federal Reservation, I believe. Granted they do have Local civilian LEO’s, not to mention Fibbies and Secret Service. But they can’t spend their time guarding, patrolling National Monuments and Museums et-al.
And I do see them also augmenting the local LEOs from a manpower standpoint.
