Personally as a citizen of an allegedly free republic there are some things I never want to see happen to a human being at the hands of a police officer, and that was one of them.
It’s not like these shooting cases where it’s a split-second of terror in murky darkness followed by months of he said, she said. The video is eight freaking minutes long.
Those Wisconsin cops who showed up at that woman’s trailer over a lockdown-violating playdate seemed to take more criticism here than this guy.
It contributed to his death. The Coroner said that too. Both factors taken together killed Floyd. Take one away and he wouldn't be dead. The police were responsible for one contributing factor by performing an inherently dangerous act, as the prosecutor termed it. They should be charged.
And I'm sure if I arrested you and put my knee and my 230 pounds of weight on your neck for 7 minutes while you had your hands cuffed behind your back on the ground and your heart failed that the coroner's report would be telling your family to refrain from blaming me because... you simply had a heart attack!
