Shocking new surveillance video appears to show George Floyd in a violent struggle with Minneapolis police before his death.
Floyd can't be seen in the footage, but one cop can be seen leaning through the back door and visibly struggling with him.
The clip was posted by activist Shaun King, who wrote: 'BREAKING: Just got this new video. Its all coming together. Police were in the car beating the sh** out of George Floyd. One stands watch, while the others attacked him.'
Later, white officer Derek Chauvin was captured on video by a bystander kneeling on Floyd's neck as he begged for air.
Floyd, 46, fell unconscious and died, and Chauvin, 44, has since been charged with third-degree murder and second-degree manslaughter, which are filed in cases of unintentional death.
Chauvin also was accused of ignoring another officer who expressed concerns about Floyd, a black man, as he lay handcuffed on the ground.

What is that? Some of the guys who were arrested, that you and strac6 guaranteed us would all spend their lives in prison, but never even went to trial?
“I think you misunderstood or I errored typing.”
My error.

Re: “As I understand it being restrained was also listed on the autopsy as cause of death.”
The Medical Report referred to in the Criminal Complaint is preliminary.
The Complaint states that “being restrained,” prior health issues, and “potential” intoxicants, “likely contributed to his death.”
The key word is “likely.”
The Criminal Complaint is trying to establish “probable cause” for arrest, and nothing else.
Lied about nothing. And, no, I'm not going to go find those treads and dig out all your posts. There are plenty of witnesses though. That is why IBTG (in before TG) was a thing, because you made such a spectacular azz of yourself being consistently wrong. Remember that?
We know he was breathing, because he was talking.
It is an approved restraining technique, and is harmless if applied properly.
I doubt you have the proper training.
Because the MPD is a highly trained department, I suspect the records will show officer Chauvin had the proper training.
As bankwalker explains in post 154, it actually depends on how much pressure is applied, which cannot easily be determined with casual view of a video.
Here, so you do not have to go back to find it, from bankwalker:
It actually depends on how much weight is being applied. That is the key point, and I'm unsure if a video can determine that.
I've studied martial arts for over 40 years. We learn many techniques that have a goal of "compliance". When we hit that point, we can then back off ever so slightly but maintain the hold so that if the training partner tries to escape, we can immediately apply just a little pressure and they instantly become very "compliant" again. We can hold them that way for hours if needed, safely under our control.
I have no idea what this cop did or what his intentions were, but you'll never know by watching a video.
“Because the MPD is a highly trained department, I suspect the records will show officer Chauvin had the proper training. “
So highly trained they killed a women that calked for assistance!

I already replied to bankwalker. Cat has his tongue.
The police were just doing their jobs, following standard procedure. There is nor record of any policeman ever violating anyone’s rights.

“It is an approved restraining technique, and is harmless if applied properly. “
What he did is specifically against MPD procedures.
No police department teaches that.
hmmmm...
I’ve seen some of these people up close and personal back before they were doing this ... er, stuff. They were commies then and are commies now.
“We know he was breathing, because he was talking. “
We know he wasn’t breathing because his heart wasn’t beating.
Are you talking about a video of him standing up? Unedited
“And, no, I’m not going to go find those treads and dig out all your posts. There are plenty of witnesses though.”
Just one would prove your point but it is not to be found.
For most of the time, George Floyd was actively resisting.
The dispute is about the officer's judgement as to weather Floyd was going to resist again, if not under restraint.
Now we know Floyd died while under restraint, probably about 2 minutes and 43 seconds before the officer stopped restraining him.
It is easy to Monday morning quarterback.
Negligent? Maybe. It will be argued.
Murder conviction? Not going to happen.
The little Tao twerp sees the camera and the guy and he moves to the other side out of camera range.
That says it all.
Apparently King wasn’t high on PCP, at least from this one report.

No idea.
