Shocking new surveillance video appears to show George Floyd in a violent struggle with Minneapolis police before his death.
Floyd can't be seen in the footage, but one cop can be seen leaning through the back door and visibly struggling with him.
The clip was posted by activist Shaun King, who wrote: 'BREAKING: Just got this new video. Its all coming together. Police were in the car beating the sh** out of George Floyd. One stands watch, while the others attacked him.'
Later, white officer Derek Chauvin was captured on video by a bystander kneeling on Floyd's neck as he begged for air.
Floyd, 46, fell unconscious and died, and Chauvin, 44, has since been charged with third-degree murder and second-degree manslaughter, which are filed in cases of unintentional death.
Chauvin also was accused of ignoring another officer who expressed concerns about Floyd, a black man, as he lay handcuffed on the ground.

Yeah. Increasingly, I can see why we are just called white, but they are "African American." They are more African than we realize, even now.
It is not a question of him getting out.
It is a question of him hurting himself, or being hurt if there is an accident.
They have to have him buckled in, with a seat belt.
Try to do that with a struggling 6'7", very muscular man in the back of a squad.
It is just about impossible, and another good reason they called the ambulance.
Remember Freddie Grey? He was unrestrained in the back of a paddy wagon.
If he would have died in the back seat while being transported, (and that seems quite likely, now) riots again...
Thanks for being his defense attorney.
“They are big and brave when they have friends around to encourage them, but get them alone, and they turn into pussies.”
Yep, perfect definition of a bully.
Also, I serve in my church’s prison ministry so I have a little understanding of what DOC staff deal with. Thank you for your service in that capacity my friend.
...The ME also said that kneeling on the neck contributed to his death....

The cops defense team should commission a very thorough independent autopsy ASAP (before the body is shipped off to Texas).
No, it kills by strangulation. That was ruled out as well.
The knee technique is not a sleeper hold, but it can be dangerous.
What I have seen so far, on video, in the sequence the events happened.
We have video of first contact with Floyd. He is pulled from the car and cuffed in this video. While it certainly did not look like Floyd wanted cuffs on (who does?), his resistance on this video is minimal. Did he calmly turn around to be cuffed? No. But his resistance never rises to true resisting arrest imho.
Next video is of Floyd sitting on the sidewalk. An officer gets info, ect. Typical looking arrest at this point. The officer helps Floyd up and they walk across the street. No signs of struggle on this video at all, everyone seems to be pretty cordial to each other all things considered.
Now we have this video, which is obviously very near the point in time that we need to know what happened. The video obviously has a shot of what happened before Floyd was in the car, as I am sure this camera was running before this point, but is not shown.
Here Floyd is obviously in the car, and probably is not liking it. At least someone isnt liking it cause here we see the first signs of a struggle. There are officers on either side of the car and watching both sides of the car closely can give us great idea of what seems to be happening.
The officers, on the sidewalk side in the video, can be seen and the door moving. Hard to tell if the officer leaning into the car was pushing or pulling. I assume if they loaded Floyd from the sidewalk side, he is pushing. But it kind of looks like pulling. Maybe they loaded Floyd from the street side?
Hard to see the officers on the street side due to whomever recorded their video of a video cut that side off at times. What we do see, if we watch closely, is an officer exit the vehicle on the street side. Rather quickly I might add. Just after he is out of the car the officer lunges back towards the backseat and looks to be pulling although very hard to see.
I honestly think this raw video would tell the whole story. It was obviously running before and after what we are allowed to see.
After this video is the viral video we all know and loathe.
So I see it as this. Floyd most probably resisted being put in the car. However we now know they got him into the car.
Did Floyd push his way out? It is important to remember he has been cuffed since first contact. Could he have pushed himself out and onto the ground cuffed? Yes, he could. Push with the legs, out comes the body.
Was Floyd pulled out? Again possible, but man I hope not. That would be absolutely horrible for all of us. Those are agents of the state.
Now even if Floyd put up a fight getting into the car, could it have risen to a level to apply questionable force long after the man is unconscious? To keep it applied after an off duty first responder begged for at least a pulse check?
The answer is quite simply, in my mind, no.
I saw a guy who was possibly faking his distress. He was doing it the entire time, mugging and overacting for the public according to the several videos Ive watched. Maybe these cops knew GF and thought he was faking his discomfort. Or maybe they hear this stuff all the freaking time and have become immune to how criminals behave when in custody. I think many posters here would rather have a police force made up of liberal bleeding heart snowflakes who cater to every whim of the person in custody. SMDH.
Was he faking not having a pulse, too? Are you are aware one cop told Chauvin that their handcuffed prisoner had no pulse and yet inexplicably he continued the assault?
“SMDH” some are making excuses for these dirty cops. Really, really pathetic.
“90% of FR was ready to execute the cop from 5 seconds of video.”
A real shame to see it.
You're making a big assumption without any facts. It is obvious he is struggling in the car. What the police did to him in the car is not known yet. Need investigation. Why is everyone ready to be judge, jury and executioner? Interesting.
“But, as another poster noted, you cannot tell how much pressure is being applied by the video. “
The carotid hold doesn’t require much pressure, particularly if it is held for an extended time.
You know for a fact that Chauvin was a dirty cop? Or do you base your disgusting assertion on a few snippets of video the media has shown? From what Ive read, GF had no pulse at one point but then he did for the next 6 minutes. He told the cops when he was first handcuffed that he couldnt breathe, so they called for an ambulance. They were restraining him for the almost 9 minutes it took for the ambulance to arrive. The restraint he was using was also approved by the MPD. Why isnt anyone blaming the black police chief for continuing that procedure and allowing dirty cops to remain on the force?
What a lot of people don't understand is that whenever police are confronted with having to arrest and possibly restrain someone, they are not privy to their personal health information at that time. They don't know anything about the person, except that they may need to restrain him. And more than likely, because of HIPPA laws, they aren't even legally allowed to ask him. When I worked Corrections in NY State, we were not allowed to know or ask if an inmate we were transporting was HIV positive, or had any other communicable disease because of those laws.
“I hate bad cops as much as anyone, but right now this guy is an unknown based on my personal MA training.”
OAN has been covering a story about a tweet put out by a couple MA guys showing what you’re talking about. IIRC one of them was a teacher who has been cut loose over his “tone deaf” message.
Nice faking. Goes totally lifeless stopping his heart and voids his bladder.
Where do you learn these skills? How long can one suspend his heart pumping?
How was the officer to know what we know now, in hindsight?
They had already sent for an ambulance, and it arrived about two minutes after he went limp, for what was reportedly the second time during the struggle.
It is easy to Monday morning quarterback.
In hindsight, the officer should have changed his position after George went limp for the second (or possible more times). We do not know how many times George went limp in this case.
Others have speculated it might have happened several times because of the heart condition.
Combined with his resistance, size and strength, the officers judgement at the scene is hard to second guess.
Well maybe he'll have better luck at his trial.
Lots of people die in police custody, because police deal with lots of subjects high on drugs who abuse their bodies.
And in those instances how many list police actions as a contributing factor in their deaths?
“No, it kills by strangulation. That was ruled out as well.
The knee technique is not a sleeper hold, but it can be dangerous. “
Dude, the knee was directly on a carotid artery. The knee technique is an unauthorized form of the sleeper hold.
I just can’t get past the knee on the neck for more than 5 minutes. The nationwide violence by self-hating whites, looters and minority supremacist groups like BLM is just insane.
