The Mayor of Minneapolis is from a wealthy county in northern Virginia. He moved to Minneapolis after law school. After a few years in a law firm and community organizing, he got elected to the city council. Four years later he was elected to mayor.

Last fall he tried to make the Trump team pay a huge fee (about $500,000 IIRC) at the last minute, to pay for security around a Trump rally in Minneapolis. Trump did not let him get away with this attempted breach of contract.

Mayor Frey is definitely in over his head now. What started in MN and is spreading over the country is outrageous and sad.
