Mike Freeman, county attorney for Hennepin County, condemned the actions of white cop Derek Chauvin as 'horrific and terrible' But he added there was 'other evidence that does not support a criminal charge' Prosecutors must decide if the cop used force deemed 'excessive' when he knelt on George Floyd's neck for eight minutes until he passed out and later died Freeman warned the investigation 'can't be rushed' He voiced fears of a repeat of the Freddie Gray case in Baltimore in 2015 where all charges were dropped against cops involved in the black man's death Outrage is building as still no arrests have been made over Floyd's death with protests entering their third day in Minneapolis

If he was under the influence and that contributed to his death, his drug dealer and everyone in that supply chain needs to be charged with his death.

OK, if his murderer failed his psych eval, was hired anyway AND every officer he worked with knew he was a loose canon, should everyone in that supply chain, the hiring manager, the police academy instructors, all the chain of command in the department, internal affairs, all his colleagues, etc. be held to the same standard?

Bongino says there is NEVER justification for applying that type of
pressure to a main blood artery.
He says that technique is not taught to any police force in the U.S.
He says once the man was handcuffed behind the back, the fight was over.
Just put him in the back of the patrol car.
BTW, as you know Bongino was a NYC police officer and Secret Service
agent. He speaks with experience on this issue.

“A huge number of cops are ex-schoolyard bullies with inferiority complexes that just love to harass the public.”

Citation, please.

“Exactly. “Yes sir. Here are my hands sir.” DO NOT try to fight it out on the street because you are POd that the cops are picking on you. 99.9% chance you’ll lose.”

I was brought up this way, but it really eats at me.
True Miranda:
I have gained the attention of the police.
I have the right to remain silent, anything I say, or the police image I say will be used against me.
I have the right to be berated and verbally abused.
I have the right to be lied to and manipulated.
I have the right to be restrained and beaten.
I have the right to be harassed.
I have the right to be murdered.

I could not be a Cop. I’m not built for it. I can’t do what they do every day and remain a good person. I recognized this early in my life. Too many police officers never do.

Bongino is not from MPD. Daily Mail quotes their manual.

Then put him in jail for a long time.
Is that worth contributing to the man’s death.
NO!

I'm not sure if the Minneapolis PD has the same policy, but I recall a case in St. Louis where an officer was involved in shooting another officer who was off-duty. The department policy is that officers must answer questions during an investigation. They are not allowed to take the fifth. In that case, the officer refused to answer questions during the investigation, and was fired. He later pleaded guilty to manslaughter and got about 4 years. My guess is that the four officers are refusing to cooperate with the investigation, and thus were fired. That's just a guess, though.

I've also seen cases were officers were reinstated with back pay because they were wrongfully terminated. So, it's also possible that they were fired because the mayor and police chief determined that their firing might calm the protesters. And if they are not all charged, you could expect some of them to try to get their job back.

Still lots of unknowns in this case.

There aint no citation. You have to experience it first hand. You have to have relatives that are cops and corrections officers for instance. You have to listen to an ex LAPD brag about shooting out street lights so that his friends in the public utilities would get bonus work.

How many police brutality videos do you need to watch? How many videos of cops bullshitting citizens about the law? What kind of fairytale world do you live in man?

I don’t need to wait. There is no reason an under control, handcuffed man had that kind of pressure applied to his neck for 8 min.

Do you believe that there is no need for a trial? That would certainly speed up the process of justice if we'd just execute people without having to take the time for trials and appeals and whatnot.

Do you know if he failed a psych evaluation? You keep positing that hypothetical and then answering your own questions as if he did indeed fail the psych evaluation.

Bongino is entitled to his opinion. He may be right. Or not. I saw Floyd’s head moving pretty easily until he passed out. So I am going to wait on the AUTOPSY. It is a Free Country, so you can eschew the AUTOPSY, and base your OPINION on podcasts. Whatevah! Here is more on the technique:

Are you going to take me up on my offer to apply the full weight of my
knee to one of your blood arteries for 8 minutes?
I’ll do it for free. I’ll even let up the pressure when u cry for moma.

all I know for sure is you and a handful of others on. here are easily led. You are free to believe what you want but theres no supporting evidence to your assumptions. there was no scale under the mans head to determine the cop had his “full weight” on the guy, and he didnt have his hands in his pockets. he had black gloves that blended in with his black pants. you saw a video that should have never been shown and it caused you and lots of others just as stupid as you to draw conclusions that werent sound. All this is going to be pra6rls before swine, but Im sure theres a few level headed individuals on this site that need to know not everyone here is a cop hating antifa anarchist supporter. p.s. To all the jerks who think its funny to say “ let me handcuff you and stand on your neck”. its not hip or funny and doesnt prove anything. its just stupid to say it.

You asked me how I knew and I told you what a former police officer
and Secret Service agent said about the pressure applied.
And how it was applied.

Wow. That article says “turned his life around” at least 5 times. It does mention that he served at least 10 stints in jail though. Fair and balanced.....

The only evidence I’ve seen is a policeman with the full weight of his body thru his knee putting great pressure on the main blood artery of a handcuffed and under control man for 8 minutes. If your main artery is cut off thru pressure, no blood, no oxygen, no breathing. No life.

That's what it looked like to me . Cops knee on Floyd's carotid artery. Equivalent to a 'sleeper' but minutes longer. Brain damage for sure.

I’ve known plenty of LE guys, mostly federal. Some are veterans including a former SpecOp guy. Another one became a teacher after retiring from LE. College grads, rednecks, you name it, they run the gamut. What none of them are, is bullies. There are bad apples in every profession but to say a huge number of LE are bullies has never been my experience.
