I find it hard to believe that this officer was trained to apply a knee to the neck of a suspect. Especially one that is handcuffed. Dumb. But the question is, did it cause the death?
Reminiscent of the Baltimore Freddie Gray incident.
They’re coming down in price.
“Why have the officers been fired then?”
Because a guy in their custody went limp and emptied his bladder and no one took action other than addressing the onlookers with a nonchalant attitude.
But he added there was ‘other evidence that does not support a criminal charge’
Prosecutors must decide if the cop used force deemed ‘excessive’ when he knelt on George Floyd's neck for eight minutes until he passed out and later died
Somebody needs to be investigating the county attorney.
“OK, I told you so yesterday. Yes, remember when several commenters were calling me and others “racist” for warning everybody to not jump to conclusions? That the AUTOPSY had not been released? That the CAUSE OF DEATH was unknown? That we are still missing video from the middle, i.e., what happened between the initial arrest and the officers having Floyd on the ground. I nearly fell out of my chair when I heard the DA from Hennepin County state that there is “other evidence that does not support a criminal charge.” OMG. This is exactly why you don’t go out screaming MURDER. And exactly why you always wait in cases, especially any case tied to Benjamin Crump.”
Thank you. There are some on FR that jump to conclusions, respond emotionally and jump the gun. You can beat your chest and condemn all police officers from a partial video. Sometimes appearances are misleading, sometimes not, but it is wise to wait until all facts are known.
“”””””””””I appreciate your genius. I was called a racist.”””
In freepmails I was called a lot worse than that.
I thought I had accidentally logged in to democratic underground the way some on here talked to me.
Never forget the Duke Lacrosse boys. They were guilty from the first second it was brought up.
From what I've observed (particularly since the Trayvon era) Latinos and Asians are either "of color" or white, depending on circumstances. And crossing anyone black makes them white immediately.
According to local papers the prosecutor said they will have to see if there is other evidence that does not support criminal charges.
No matter what the outcome is, it will never be the right one for the looters and arsonists. They will continue to loot and destroy, not because they actually care about justice, but because of their own selfish needs. The Democrats do it all the time. And this is just an effect of that liberal mind set. The end justifies the means.
there are several here on FR; check out the arbery threads.
Yep, no intent required in Minnesota for that, but I’ll be shocked if anyone is charged with it.
609.195 MURDER IN THE THIRD DEGREE.
(a) Whoever, without intent to effect the death of any person, causes the death of another by perpetrating an act eminently dangerous to others and evincing a depraved mind, without regard for human life, is guilty of murder in the third degree and may be sentenced to imprisonment for not more than 25 years.
(b) Whoever, without intent to cause death, proximately causes the death of a human being by, directly or indirectly, unlawfully selling, giving away, bartering, delivering, exchanging, distributing, or administering a controlled substance classified in Schedule I or II, is guilty of murder in the third degree and may be sentenced to imprisonment for not more than 25 years or to payment of a fine of not more than $40,000, or both.
Everything that happened after George Floyd was handcuffed —and clearly not resisting—was excessive force.
Cop should have placed the handcuffed man in the cruiser & taken him to lockup. Period.
Instead, the cop led the compliant man to the wall, made him sit down next to the wall, then made him stand up next to the wall, then inexplicably made him lie facedown on the street with his head & shoulders unnaturally twisted aside & torso pressed against the car’s wheel, and then placed his knee on the man’s neck and pressed — all while he was handcuffed.
The cop alternately pressed & released Floyd’s neck— allowing him to holler for a bit— and gradually increased pressure until he was unable to holler.
You can tell when he died because his bladder relaxed & he peed. The urine stream is clearly visible as the life light fades from his eyes.
I guess you know how much pressure the officer was applying.
Floyds head and shoulders were moving his face was to the side he had a clear air way.
For him to lift his shoulders, move his head and talk shows not much pressure was applied.
“Why have the officers been fired then?”
Because politicians are scared to death of inner city blacks. They do anything to appease the mob to try to prevent them from burning down the city. It doesn’t work, but they still try.
Doesn’t anybody watch Cops? It is a standard police tactic to kneel on a perp’s neck to get them to submit. Why this particular guy died, who knows? But we must always assume the cops are at fault, because otherwise there will be riots.... oh, wait.

How much longer will people keep denying what is really going on?
Inconceivable any law enforcement officer thinks it’s ok to put knee on neck for 5 minutes. 4 officers and 1 cuffed suspect doesn’t require extraordinary measures.
“killing”? Seems to make a conclusion.
Ever had your arms yanked, twisted and ziptied behind your back? It hurts your shoulders & makes you walk funny.
You really have no clue what it takes to hold someone down who doesn’t want to be held down.
I guess we’ll find out. I don’t think they’re going to be able to sweep this one under the rug.
