She cites it, but I do not care for that “writer from Sharonzona’s” use of the word “Karen” for Conservatives who opt not to play the game and, for example, boycott Costco for their ridiculous policies.

I saw the word “Karen” for the first time here on FR over the weekend; it’s dumb. Next there’ll be a label for the person who breaks the nose of “karen” who berates for not wearing a mask.
These labels accomplish nothing.
Furthermore, the writer’s statement below is absolute hogwash:
“The silver lining of this strategy to use this virus as an instrument of control, (a strategy that is even more destructive than the Russia hoax), is that millions of former Democrats are waking up to the oppressive tendencies of Democrats and cannot wait to vote out these despots.”
Democrats in my state and elsewhere revel in the effects of the lockdowns, namely Trump’s declining polling numbers and grim economic news. From where I sit, they wear their masks in part out of fear, in part as a form of solidarity. I would hazard $1000 on the table to the assertion that 9-in-10 mask wearers in at least my area are democrats.
In that respect the writer is spot-on, but the citation of the labels and the quote above severely-detracted from her point. IMHO.
Karens also defend the masked whatevers!
Labels accomplish absolutely nothing?
Where did you come up with that nonsense?
And why do you label some people ‘Democrats’?
What did that accomplish?
“I saw the word ‘Karen’ for the first time here on FR over the weekend; its dumb.”
It’s been around for years (started with an actual person named “Caren with a C”, I believe). It has to do with a personality type in general, and nothing specifically to do with masks.
