I still continue to question face mask effectiveness. Our county had a recent big outbreak at a meat packing plant. By the time the outbreak happened, this was a well known problem in the industry. Just the other day an assisted living center got hit with 7 cases.
I am spreading that one....

Got a call yesterday from my dental office yesterday. I am getting a teeth cleaning and checkup on Monday. I suspect the dental hygienist and possibly the dentist will be wearing the N95 masks. I think it is unlikely the counter help will be doing the same....
I worked in customer service at a corporate level. Karen’s have existed forever, but with the advent of video on your phone....it seems they’ve achieved a new level of annoying.
I always told my staff that if these folks got to me, I was not going to invest a lot of time with them. They were empowered to make Karen happy. If Karen got to me and was not happy with my answer...I gave them the speech about how sometimes we have to “fire” customers. Those conversations happened 3 or 4 times a year. They were fun.
Social media has made companies afraid of Karen’s. If your staff is trained correctly, Karen’s never flourish.
I like that. Only works for people able to read though. That rules out a lot of Karens.
I’m not the guy who stated ‘Labels accomplish absolutely nothing’ and then proceeded to label a whole group of people.
I think Conservatives make a mistake when we try to shame people on the mask issue. It just perpetuates the game we’re trying not to play.

I do not engage w/progs. In fact, I would simply laugh, shake my head, and walk away if confronted. But I haven’t been. I’m one of the visibly vulnerable and no one seems to GAF if I’m masked.
And last week, I ate in a restaurant in a city of over 50k and none of the kitchen workers were masked, the cashier used a plexi shield and one customer (50% capacity & steady traffic) was masked.
But, that said:
Do not allow them to have the 1st or last word, should it come to words.
If they are masked, it doesn’t matter if I am. Back when the progs were anti-vax (3 months ago), that was what they said about vaccines: “If you get one, I’m protected.” Hold them to it.

I live in Appalachia. The white women and men are all obese-morbidly obese. Except for the wealthier women who are all fit and trim.
My sister come in from DC/Northern Va -million dollar plus hour territory. Can’t believe all the fat people.
I go to her house. Fitness gyms literally on every corner. All women in tight yoga pants and stunning.
If my wife died I would have to go somewhere else to find mate as I am not a chubby chaser.

Useless to who? There’s two sides to that coin as we all know. People are certainly able too decide on their own to wear or not.

People have lots of reasons for wearing masks. Whatever protection they can provide for the frail at their homes loving people will provide.
No matter how small.
And those with no such reason don’t.
It is the mandate, not the mask.
