I know it’s anecdotal, but I have extended family who definitely voted for Trump. I was shocked to hear them glowingly speak of Obama as compared to Trump who they said was mean and angry. I tried to explain Trump is “angry” for a reason, that the press asks gotcha questions that imply he’s a racist, sexist, whatever. Regardless, they were thinking of voting for Biden.
Trump needs to understand there are still millions of well meaning voters out there who tune in to the network nightly news. They don’t go searching the internet for alternate, conservative opinions. If NBC, CBS, and ABC news are their primary news sources, is it any wonder why they are rethinking their Trump support?
I get that Trump is going to be attacked regardless of what he tweets, but in cases like The Atlantic, they can quote the tweet and it comes across as very “mean” when he’s supposed to be concerned about unemployment.
I’m not the only Trump supporter who sees his tweets as a negative. Maybe we are wrong. I hope we are.
Do you think attempting to appease NBC, or any of the MSMs, is going to make the MSMs reduce their raw hatred for pres. Trump?

The purpose of those tweets is to get Dems to alienate their own voters, which has been happening spectacularly.
He knows Dems will automatically take the opposite of any position he asserts. So he asserts positions where, when they do so, they alienate/demoralize their own base.
It’s been working like a charm for years.
