Actually it was much more direct.
Edward Teller and Robert Oppenheimer repeatedly met with David Ben Gurion and simply handed over plans for a nuclear power plant and both fission and fusion weapons.
All with a wink and a nod from the US Defense Department.

When Edward Teller designed “Iron Mike” (among the first thermonuclear weapons), he copied the structure of of the Mishkan erected by Moses and Bezalel in the desert.
