Stores are limiting purchases to two packages per type of meat here. Large families have to go to stores that have larger packages (Costco, Mexican grocery stores).

I went to a local grocery outlet here today; they wanted $10.89 a pound for cube steak. A pack of two T-bones was $31 and change. The price of chicken and pork seemed to be holding steady. But, like I said, it’s a locally family-owned market, a number of off-branded goods. You really have to perform due diligence like check origin and sell-by dates on everrything, including canned goods. It can be hit or miss.

Costco’s meat section is drastically down in their selection. There is lots of empty space for their beef cuts on their meat tables. I heard that Brazilian beef will be imported.
