This cop was GD incompetent and so were his idiot buddies (who should all be fired) standing around with their thumbs up their asses while this happened.
Incidents like this get lumped in with acts of legitimate self-defense by officers and make things worse for everyone.
Idiots will see this and be more likely to resist if they think they’re gonna get killed anyway.
Exactly! This will only increase incidences of resisting arrest.
And this idiot cop and his cohorts will get off with their pensions intact. Which is really the only thing that matters to them.

I am going to take this a step further. I don’t see how this is any different than some welfare queen mom sitting on her azz while her idiot boyfriend beats up her kid. She should go to jail, and they should all go to jail.
By the way, if you read some of the stories on this, it sounds like there were on lookers trying to rescue they guy, but the other officers kept them away.
