Why would you bury a body on an island when the ocean lies all around? If you are correct (it is still an if at this moment) there should or would be missing persons reports on these young ladies, but as of yet we have not seen or heard of such reports.
The media will continue to ignore this story in the mainstream, but I suspect in the years to come we will find out a lot more dirt about Epstein and the powerful elite who gravitated towards him.

Obama, trying to uncover dirt on his possible/probably opponent, filed and got them released, embarrassing Jack Ryan to the point of him being pressured to withdraw.
