Sharyl: Thank you for being on our program.
President Trump: Well, thank you.
Sharyl: Do you think that coronavirus has been as transformative to our country as 9/11 was?
President Trump: Well, I think the concept of 9/11 was, it was a little more direct. It was a hit by terrorists. But this is a hit. It came out of China, whether we like it or not, it came out of China. It could have been stopped. It came all over the world, but it didn't really go to China. They stopped their planes going into China, but they didn't stop their planes and their traffic going into the rest of the world, including the United States and Europe, and Europe is decimated. And you look at what happened all over the world, 186 countries. So now it's a very terrible thing and they could have stopped it if they wanted to, they could have stopped it. Either it was incompetent or they didn't want to, both are not very acceptable, by the way.
Sharyl: Can you take us to the moment when you remember first hearing about the highest projections? We're talking millions, and we had not been told that yet in the public, but I assume you were told that first. Were you thinking, how is this to be believed? Was it startling and frightening?
President Trump: So I was hearing millions of people, and it would have been millions of people if we didn't shut down. Now, would I shut it down again? No, because we understand it now much better. We didn't know anything about it, it was new, it was fresh.

A WORRYING scientific report claims coronavirus is “uniquely adapted to infect humans” raising fears it may have been made in a Chinese lab.
A team of top researchers have now said those looking into the origins of the outbreak should probe the possibility it “leaked” from a science hub in the city of Wuhan.
Professor Nikolai Petrovsky, who headed the Australian team, said the virus was not typical of a normal animal-to-human infection as it had the “exceptional” ability to enter our bodies immediately.
And the expert said the “remote” possibility it may have somehow escaped from a testing lab could not be ruled out...
Today’s reports come after it was claimed analysis of mobile phone data showed the Wuhan lab shut down in October...

Speculation about the origins of the novel coronavirus continues as Australian scientists insist the possibility it came from a lab can’t be ruled out.
The SARS-CoV-2 virus, which results in the COVID-19 disease, binds to human cells more potently than any of the tested animal species using the computer modelling, including bats.
“Which argues against bats being a direct source of the human virus,” says lead author professor Nikolai Petrovsky.
In a paper published this month, but yet to be peer reviewed, the Australian scientists pointed to a number of reasons why the virus became so well adapted to humans, such as convergent evolution after exposure to human cells, rare mutations that mix two species genes, and exposure to human cells very early in the pandemic.
But they say it’s impossible, at this point, to rule out the hypothesis that is was created in a cell-culture experiment in a lab.
“What we are saying is that this virus looks for all the world like a virus designed specifically for humans – the only question is did this happen by chance, or intent,” Prof Petrovsky told Yahoo News Australia...
Prof Petrovsky is calling for a comprehensive scientific inquiry into the origins of the virus.

This kind of interview is impossible with any talking head from the msm because they could not contain their open hatred for The President.
He axed an important rhetorical question, "When do they ever write a good story"?
