Michael Flynn's lawyer says Robert Mueller prosecuted her client to further Russian collusion hoax

The attorney for former National Security Adviser Michael Flynn is alleging that former Special Counsel Robert Mueller's team pursued Flynn's prosecution solely to prolong its investigation of President Trump.

"It should never have been prosecuted," Flynn lawyer Sidney Powell said in a special new episode of Fox Nation's "Witch Hunt." The episode, hosted by Fox News legal analyst Gregg Jarrett, will first air Sunday evening on the Fox News Channel.

"Mueller knew from Day One that the Russia hoax was blown to bits," she said. "They all knew that. They knew ... the 'Steele Dossier' -- all of that was an absolute hoax. The only way they could keep the Mueller investigation going was to create the obstruction hoax."

“With Republicans like Graham who needs Democrats?”

Yeah. Funny how Grahamnesty turned so fast into Don’s Bestest Most Ardent Supporter when his Big Brudder Juan McTraitor croaked.

Just a Rat in disguise.

“The only defense I have for Mueller is that he was the senile front man, being used without knowing that he was because, frankly, he is out of it mentally. “

And now they are putting an exact clone at the head of their ticket to “ run” the government

How do these skunks live in their own stench?

The same way the media does. The “ends” justify the “means” because they are convinced they are right and the rest of us are wrong. They are so convinced that they believe they are the only ones who can run the country and make decisions instead of the duly elected representatives and President.

In their hubris, they don’t smell a thing. Look at the arrogance on display.

Mueller was a maybe 30+ year veteran of the FBI and certainly could recognize lack of evidence

If he even bothered to try.

You may be right. Mueller and Biden have decades in the corrupt system. Maybe they are both playing dumd. Maybe they are really are dumb, or maybe lazy.

It's hard for me to believe that abortion is taken for granted today, or slavery in the 19th century, but many people don't worry about such things. Such people have teeth missing on the gears of their minds and souls.

I am leaning to Mueller not knowing it was a hoax. My impression is he was something of a figurehead and didn’t know what was going on.

My impression is he was something of a figurehead and didn’t know what was going on.

While dozens of elite anti-Trumpers (including, but not limited to, Mueller's SC team) whispered in his ears 24/7.

Mueller showed more evidence of being awake than Biden, but that’s not saying that much.

You cannot “fake” the genuine confusion and inability to articulate facts that Mueller displayed in his congressional testimony.

It was painful to watch because he had no grasp of the case or the facts, the actions his “team” took, and absolutely no understanding of the big picture.

It was so bad I don’t think it could be faked.

We view the Mueller investigation as an epic failure and scam.

However, if the goal was to drag out the Russian collusion delusion, hurt Trump and hinder his administration, silence Flynn, and impact the 2018 election they succeeded by any measure.

They told us the goal was to investigate Russian interference in our election. While I am highly skeptical this occurred, the one thing we know for a fact is that the DNC solicited and paid for disinformation from Russians and injected it into the election, transition, and used it to damage the Trump administration.

Yet, the special counsel NEVER looked into it. Therefore, the only logical conclusion can be that their real goal was different and entirely partisan, which defeats the entire argument to appoint a special counsel in the first place (i.e. - it is supposed to be non-partisan because the DOJ is susceptible to being called partisan by the other side).

They easily sidelined Sessions because he met with the Russian ambassador (along with everyone else with a pulse in DC) yet the man who actually signed one of the FISA warrants against the Trump campaign was not conflicted and he was allowed to select, appoint, and administer the special counsel investigation?

It is crazy.

Mueller said in his testimony he was not familiar with Fusion GPS. My opinion is that was an honest answer, but shows how little he understood what he needed to do.

I remember Bill Clinton being surprisingly candid one time. He was talking about JFK (whose press was universally adoring) and Nixon (whom the press hated with a fury). Clinton said in so many words, “well so what if JFK stole the election (which there is irrefutable proof that Nixon won Illinois and Texas). JFK made a better president and accomplished so much more than Nixon”. The communists call this “the end justifies the means and “first among equals”.

"Yet, the special counsel NEVER looked into it."

He never looked into it because he knew it was a hoax from the beginning. The Mueller team gave Rod Rosenstein a "wish list" of things they wanted to investigate, and he willingly re-wrote the scope memo to include all those things they asked for. They knew they couldn't prove Russian collusion, so they went after a group of people with the hope they'd be able to find something to hang Trump with. This whole hoax was also fueled by Obama's desire to keep his Iran deal in place. He knew Flynn was against it, and with his being chosen as Trump's National Security Advisor, there was a good chance the whole deal, which Obama considered his legacy, was going to be eliminated. It's why he spied on everyone, because he wanted to be able to track the people who were against it. And Obama being the narcissist he is, he couldn't stop with just spying on Congress members, and reporters, he extended his spying to world leaders, and then to the Trump campaign. Obama let his nosiness get out of control, and it's all coming out now.

I thought they wanted Flynn in order that Flynn would still the beans on Trump. I guess that backfired.

I think you are right, but I suspect there is a whole host of stuff that we still do not know about what the prior administration did.

This information must be pretty significant given the unprecedented efforts we have seen to remove Trump, silence Flynn, and hide it all from the American public.

Given the superhuman effort we have seen it has to involve the top of the prior administration and I think it goes far beyond what we know and why we are mad. There is no other explanation that fits.

However, that does not mean we will find it all out. It is pretty clear that Comey and his FBI will be the fall-guy. Rice will take a bullet for Obama. Brennan and Clapper still seem to be skating as they shrug and point towards Comey.

The Iran deal is inexplicable in many ways and it was clearly a flawed deal for American security, but what might it have involved that would go this far and why? We are missing something big.
