Honestly I wish theyd both give it a break. Sessions was an early
Trump supporter. A honorable man. His fault was having been marinated in the gentlemanly Senate for too long. When the baying hounds started calling for his refusal, instead of realizing that these were cutthroat bastards who wanted him out of the way so they could run wild, he did the noble and honorable thing, as he mistakenly saw it.
Honestly I wish theyd both give it a break.

A senate seat is a very valuable thing.
I saw live a rally, or whatever, where Trump acknowledged Sessions’ endorsement, and tried to put a MAGA hat on his head. Sessions subtly retreated and showed no taste for the idea.
I said, “Uh-oh, that’s not good.”
Yes, he was an early Trump supporter, mainly because of the immigration issue.
That being said, Jeff was in over his head, as the truth is coming out now. Maybe too naive as well. Had no idea he had criminals in his organization. Since he recused himself because he supposedly talked to a Russian in his official capacity, did anyone ever hear about Bob “beyond his purview” Mueller write about Sessions and clear him in his Russian meddling report?
Sessions should have resigned instead of recusing. He served at the request of the POTUS, who was elected. He should just admit he made a GREAT mistake in that regard and how ignorant he was of what really was going on in DC. He attacks POTUS today instead of attacking the criminals in the DOJ, FBI and Bob Mueller with all the stuff that has been coming out in the past month. On that score, I hear crickets from Jeff. He had his chance, he blew it, time for him to step aside and enjoy his retirement in Alabama, a great state. Some people end their careers on a high note. He won;t.
“Sessions was an early Trump supporter.”
We don’t know that for sure.
“A honorable man.”
We don’t know THAT for sure, either.
Its pretty clear Sessions believed he was doing the honorable thing. Sir Sessions, Knight of DC, quickly withdrew from battle, leaving the king undefended. Even if he thought he was acting honorably, he should have consulted with Trump first.
You nailed it.
Your analysis is spot on. Always rising above the fray until they disappear from the ring then the dems run amok.
I totally agree. Sessions should have resigned though the minute he found out he was in between truth and his reputation.
You explained it very nicely. I evaluated his conduct as just cowardice. It seems just likely the gentleman was duped by a much faster and unethical democrap mob.
It appears that sessions was a plant from early on.I wonder who is the Trump admin.suggested the keebler?
