President Trump lashed out at former Attorney General Jeff Sessions on Twitter Saturday evening, accusing the GOP Alabama Senate candidate of 'ruining lives' when he decided to recuse himself from the Department of Justice's (DOJ) Russia probe.
The tweet from Trump slamming Sessions is the latest installment in a back-and-forth between the two over Memorial Day Weekend.
“Jeff, you had your chance & you blew it. Recused yourself ON DAY ONE (you never told me of a problem), and ran for the hills. You had no courage, & ruined many lives,” Trump shared, retweeting Sessions’s earlier rebuke.
“The dirty cops, & others, got caught by better & stronger people than you. Hopefully this slime will pay a big price. You should drop out of the race & pray that super liberal @DougJones, a weak & pathetic puppet for Crazy Nancy Pelosi & Cryin’ Chuck Schumer, gets beaten badly. He voted for impeachment based on “ZERO”. Disgraced Alabama. Coach @TTuberville will be a GREAT Senator!” Trump continued.

I saw live a rally, or whatever, where Trump acknowledged Sessions’ endorsement, and tried to put a MAGA hat on his head. Sessions subtly retreated and showed no taste for the idea.
I said, “Uh-oh, that’s not good.”
“Trump has nobody to blame but himself for this fiasco.”
Really? Well then I assume that you could have done a better job so why don’t you run for the office?

Good point. The only problem there is that “draining the swamp” means you don’t hire a jackass like Sessions who had been entrenched there for years to fill such a key role.
I’ve thought for some time these guys are being blackmailed
or know they will be if “fall out of line” with the blackmailers
Or so invested in bureaucracy and self interest that to hell with the country
More evidence that Sessions had risen to his level of incompetence!

In the case of hiring an AG that would have been easy. Hand the interviewee the Comey report on Hillary and they file. Let them have it for 30 minutes and then ask, can you indict her based on that report? If they say, no. Interview someone else.
Trump isn’t trying to “get revenge” here. Sessions is running in the GOP primary to get his old seat back, and Trump doesn’t want the guy anywhere near Washington again.
By that measure, Barack Obama was awesome and never did anything g wrong.
If Sessions wants to g down in history as an honorable man, he needs to admit that he made a horrible mistake, and then he needs to retire and stay out of sight.
McCarthy completely misses the point. Sessions’ recusal was driven by political considerations, not necessarily a legal requirement. He was right to recuse himself — especially since he already knew that he had been under illegal surveillance for the entire 2016 campaign — but for the same reason he should never have taken the job in the first place.
Yes, of course. The Obama Democrats in the DOJ ethics department were recommending Sessions recuse because it was politically the right thing for him to do. Nonsense. The coupists wanted him gone and POTUS bare behind to the coup winds. Sleepy obliged them and took literally the first bus out of dodge.
The carnage of broken lives that followed because of the cowardice of Sessions is in the historic record. No recusal no Mueller coup. No Mueller coup no police state thuggery. It’s that simple.
Trump gave Sessions the job because Sessions lobbied for it and since Sessions was the only Senator to back Trump’s candidacy he felt obliged to grant Sessions request.
Trump never imagined that Sessions would turn out to be the weak and pathetic coward that he turned out to be.
If you recall correctly, Trump wanted to fire Sessions after he pulled his cowardly recusal citing the wrong laws in doing so but, the “republican” senate at the time threatened Trump if he did so his other priorities on their plate would not get voted on. The Senate was protecting former Senator Sessions.
There is a small Freeper chorus that finds this distasteful.
Indeed. They pine to give the GOP a mulligan for Never Trumpism and live in a post Trump world where they can go once again support their favorite beltway careerist conservative.
Jeff Sessions loves the Adrenochrome as much as the democrats who crave it from Central American children.
The President can only send nominees to Congress not Sessions .

Sessions was wrong, but both men need to call a truce and fight to keep the Senate.
