Three of the health dept’s workers have the virus. Apparently they don’t work together so caught it elsewhere, imo. Out rioting? Not using common sense when out in crowds? Having parties with large number of attendees?
Burnet Co. up 11 in a week. Thanks to those Memorial Day tourists. Bring on next week’s scheduled riot.
Of all cases, 63% confirmed since the opening on May 1.
I can’t post the charts but please go to the link to see the rapid increase in cases since the opening and hot weather.
IIRC, from another article this morning out of Austin, the testing has increased 4% but has confirmed 10% more cases than before. There is still no local test centers in the surrounding small counties so the jump in cases in those counties were from people sick enough already under a doctor’s care so the test was ordered.

...Hope its not a trend
I read that MS had dropped off but I see they are using the GA system now of logging cases by symptom onset (which looks like a drop). The hospitalization rate looks steady.

He doesn’t look elderly. Or obese.
Nevertheless, I’m sure he had SOME condition that predisposed him to this and thus deserved to die.
It is a trend, over the past 2 weeks. They were down in the single digits for a couple weeks before beginning to trend back upward. Nowhere near the first wave, and still a very manageable level so far.
‘It feels endless’: four women struggling to recover from Covid-19
There is evidence that the official NHS description of the viruss symptoms cough, fever, loss of taste/smell is too narrow. Those who do not need acute hospital treatment and who are isolating at home report a far broader range of problems. Often these go on for longer than 14 days. An online survey of 151 medical professionals who fell ill in March found 68 are still unable to work. A further 26 went back, only to stop again when symptoms returned.
It appears coronavirus may be a chronic condition. How long it persists for is unknown. The symptoms can be serious and wide-ranging, affecting the lungs, heart, brain, kidneys, stomach and nervous system. Headaches, shortness of breath, sore throat and feeling exhausted are common. So is recovery followed by frequent relapses. Here are the stories of four women who are struggling to return to normal life.
