Asimov's child porn stash was so big many child victims and perpetrators would have taken a fall, had Asimov been zealously prosecuted at trial. "There were thousands of disks, thousands of videos," said Sonoma County Deputy District Attorney Gary Medvigy. ""Anything imaginable regarding sex between human beings and human beings, or human beings and animals, was there." In addition to the videotapes and computer disks recovered, police reportedly found video cameras, several VCRs, and a costly table-top scanner to create computer images. "He had a whole lot of editing and mass production capabilities," Santa Rosa Police officer Zamudio said. The Sonoma County District Attorney J. Michael Mullins covered up the case, let the public believe the feds would prosecute it more thoroughly, and then passed the cover up to U.S. Attorney Mueller Asimov was arraigned in Sonoma County Municipal Court, with bail set at $250,000. Asimov spent a few days in jail. Unbelievably, the Judge let him out of jail because there were no local child victims in his porn stash. Asimov was ordered released on the condition he stay away from children, computers and the Internet. There was no pressure put on him by Law Enforcement to rat out his other conspirators. In July 1998, before a preliminary hearing started which would have put massive amount of evidence before the public, suddenly Sonoma County Deputy DA Gary Medvigy announced that U.S. Attorney's Office in San Francisco agreed to prosecute Asimov thus removing the case from Sonoma Sonoma Superior Court Judge Frank Passalacqua "conditionally'' dismissed the 2 felony charges against Asimov related to distributing child porn, stating the charges were dismissed only so the feds could file their case & would be reinstated in 30 days if the feds did not proceed. Sonona Deputy DA Medvigy tried to convince the public that the reason for the dismissal was that his office was limited in its ability to investigate the sources and possible distribution of the ``enormous'' amount of child pornography found in Asimov's home. Medvigy also cited the fact that much of Asimov's porn came from the internet and involved out-of-state and international sources, which made it more appropriate for federal authorities to take over. Sonama County DA J. Michael Mullins apparently wanted the public to believe that the federal government was going to do a much more extensive prosecution of Asimov than Sonoma County authorities were able to do Asimov was indicted by a federal grand jury in November 1999 on four counts of possessing images of child pornography, despite having produced 1000s of videotapes & pics incl child torture, possessing film making equipment which the cops said would take teams of people to review Once again, in December 1999, Asimov pled not guilty in federal court, and was released on his own recognizance. No pressure was put in him to reveal his co-conspirators. In the summer of 1999, U.S. Attorney Mueller engaged in plea deal with Asimov, by dropping two counts. Because of the sealed grand jury testimony and sealed evidence, the public will never know the details about the 1000 images of child porn Asimov used and created and stored. Mueller's plea bargain with Asimov included no prison time. U.S. District Judge Maxine Mackler Chesney gave Asimov an incredibly light sentence, claiming the plea bargain limited her sentencing options. Judge Chesney was nominated by Senator Diane Feinstein and is the wife of former San Francisco Superior Court Judge Edward Stern. Judge Chesney served on the San Francisco Superior Court Bench prior to her appointment. Asimov was sentenced to 6 months house arrest with an ankle bracelet. His case remains sealed. Not even his property, including his computers and film-making equipment that he used to create child porn & bestiality media were forfeited. A short time later, Pres. George W. Bush named Mueller as FBI director.

If you really wanted to get somebody and you are Tech savvy, you could really screw up their lives sneaking this kind of stuff into their Computer.

Speaking of sci-fi writers, I’m one of those who believes Arthur C. Clarke moved to . . . was it Sri Lanka / Ceylon . . . in order to indulge his fondness for boys and very young men.

It is not like the guy could not find an adult partner if he wanted to.
Liddy is or was married to a very successful businesswoman.

Seems to be the case, from Wikipedia
“...
.
Clarke never remarried, but was close to a Sri Lankan man, Leslie Ekanayake (13 July 1947 4 July 1977), whom Clarke called his “only perfect friend of a lifetime” in the dedication to his novel The Fountains of Paradise.[a] Clarke is buried with Ekanayake, who predeceased him by three decades, in Colombo’s central cemetery.[44] In his biography of Stanley Kubrick, John Baxter cites Clarke’s homosexuality as a reason why he relocated, due to more tolerant laws with regard to homosexuality in Sri Lanka.[45] In 1998, a British newspaper reported that he paid Sri Lankan boys for sex, leading to the cancellation of plans for Prince Charles to knight him on a visit to the country.

So did I. Always thought it was strange how he sometimes seemed compelled to brag about the size of his tool.

I wouldn’t put it past the FBI to plant child porn on anybody’s computer. They’ve been known to do worse than that.

I feel sorry for the father, Gordon Liddy...Not for the son...
A father could feel really bad about his son being sent to jail for this kind of crime...
There is only so much a father could do to prevent his son from making a bad mistake...
I felt sorry for Michael Reagan also...His son was in trouble several times...

Yes that would mean he already had them on his hard drive is that right ?
More incriminating
I dont get this stuff this desire for extremely young women or girls
At 29 or 30 it felt weird with 18/19 year olds
At 62
I had a date tonite with a 35 year old
She seemed young but it felt like I was with a grown woman
Albeit 27 years my junior
She was ok with it...
With a 45 year old woman I dont feel any age difference much except cultural references

Sorry but it is in fact true, Coup de’ Atat in America has the info, read it and weep. In fact Howard Hunt was sued over it and he lost the case proving that he was in fact one of the four bums.
There are several photos of the four taken that fateful day.
