A San Diego federal judge Friday dismissed a $10 million defamation lawsuit filed by the owners and operators of San Diego-based One America News Network against MSNBC and political commentator Rachel Maddow.
Last summer, the liberal host told her viewers that the Trump-friendly conservative network “really literally is paid Russian propaganda.”
U.S. District Judge Cynthia Bashant dismissed Herring Networks’ suit with prejudice, ruling “there is no set of facts that could support a claim for defamation based on Maddow’s statement,” made during a July 22, 2019, segment of her show.
Robert Herring Sr., the 78-year-old owner and founder of the Trump-friendly network based in San Diego, told Times of San Diego that he would appeal the ruling.
Was he surprised?
“After I’ve seen several things that [Bashant’s] said and some of the things she’s done in the past, I wasn’t surprised at all,” Herring said.

The good news is that the thing person from MSNBC acknowledges OAN enough to defame. I think OAN does an incredible job.
People that do their computer stuff for them, people who fix their food, people who do their yard work, people who fix their broken stuff.

So, Madcow presented evidence that the network really is paid for by the Russians?
So, according to her ruling, if I were to say that U.S. District Judge Cynthia Ann Bashant “really literally is a whore for the DNC” that’s cool because it’s just an opinion.
This judge is either ruling that it's impossible for Maddow's statement to be false or that it's impossible for that Maddow was deliberately lying. Of course exploring those questions is the very purpose of going to trial. This loon is essentially claiming to be omniscient, if we take her statement literally.
Fakejudge Barbie here can read the mind of Rachel Maddow and all her listeners and KNOW that none of them believe her "opinion" - including Maddow herself.

Because I don't believe your contention that those amatuer porn videos showing Judge Cindy servicing 0bama and Gropin Joe in exchange for her seat on the federal bench are actually real.

OAN should have done a much better job of judge shopping before filing this lawsuit.

Glad you said something, because it made me look into it.
It appears as though Chairman Xi's two Senatrixes, "Beijing Diane" Feinstain and "China Kammy" Harris, are in a CalifMexican standoff with Leader McConnell over the appointment of new Southern District judges.
The two Chinese puppets are waiting until they can install loyal fanatical partisan Democrats into those five open bench slots.
This state of affairs puts enormous pressure on the remaining judges, both regular and senior, as far as caseloads go.
Doubt if OAN would have been able to shop out of their location/jurisdiction, and they got stuck with a partisan Democrat sockpuppet in a 50/50 situation.
