An easily predicted outcome here. No surprise at all. The numbers of suicides will also increase as this tyrannical shutdown drags on. I personally had a longtime middle aged friend who recently took her own life as she indicated in her suicide note of the shutdown and restrictions and resulting sufferings she saw she said in her note that she left for her family that she couldn't handle the pressure and misery of seeing so many of her friends and extended family hurt and harmed by this sordid affair.

So sad but not everyone can handle the despair and heartache as others can. Depression does indeed kill.

So sad to hear about this, but it’s easily predictable this would result. Anyone who was already not in a great place could easily be pushed over the edge with the combination of fears about the virus, fears about the economy, the future, not having any control in their own lives, etc.

The next wave of deaths will be slower, but larger. Deaths tied to poverty are going to rise significantly over the next few years as all those people who were just getting by in the lower and middle class find themselves in a shattered economy. This thing has been terribly mismanaged at all levels of government and far too many decent regular folks are going to pay the price for that with their lives.

Alcohol sales are up 250% since February.

There are going to be a lot more alcoholics and problem drinkers in the US before this is over.

Very sad thing. I try not to judge those who commit suicide. Many times we’re talking about the mental state of someone who may have lost everything . Especially since these lockdowns are destroying lives

We’re seeing a big rise in drug overdose deaths in New York, another fact Cuomo is choosing to ignore in his data.
