The SAT needs to be abolished because it provides an actual measurement of the extent of someone’s learning and intelligence.
Race, now, and victimhood of one sort or another are more important to colleges and universities.
I was very proud to have completely spanked the SAT, with no preparation. Many doors opened for me.
Today, because of my race, (white Jew,) as would be the case with an Asian, the scores simply MUST NOT matter, no matter how high, no matter the actual intelligence, studiousness, or academic accomplishment of the child.

The SAT may be the best predictor of college success. But it does not do well when you want to predict who will stop a halfback from crossing the line of scrimmage. It does not predict your accuracy from three point range. And it does not predict how well of a SJW you are. It only cares about your academic ability. In a school system that cares less and less about academics and more about racial diversity, the SAT gets in the way. So White students need to take the SAT, so do asians. But students from another background don’t need to take a test. And the secret is, that the schools average will not go down. Because they will only include those who take the test in the averages. Its a scam. But its a scam at Purdue as well. Many schools have started doing this over the passed few years. There just aren’t enough good smart football players to go around.
However, applicants will be required to prove that they can twiddle their thumbs for two minutes without messing up.
Admission will now be determined by how many oppressed groups one can claim to be associated with.
Isn’t it funny how liberals (democrats) want to remove all standards from society? You would not be surprised to see it happening in California. The tests which keep unqualified people from wasting the time of college administrators with people without the background necessary for higher education are being dropped at the University of California. Makes no sense!
This is appalling. The UC system has been the gold standard, right up there with ‘the Ivys’ in the higher education colleges in our country. And the California taxpayers fund the UC and the CSU Universities with their taxes.California is so beautiful.....too bad it is hitting the dumpster with the ‘leadership’ that is constantly voted in.

I got exactly what I expected and deserved when I took the ACT. I did very well in math and above average in English. I graduated in Civil Engineering. The test was a solid indicator of my ability.
UC? Bet the Chinese Communist student scum had problems cheating their way in. So it was dropped

My son recently graduated from one of the UC’s, daughter a few years earlier.
What they’re interested in is foreign student, mainly from China, who pay triple the tuition (out of state, out of country), often upfront and in cash. These are their prized pigs.
The student parking lot of the dorm was filled with new BMWs, Mercedes, Porches, etc.
Getting rid of the tests is also a way to increase diversity, although it has never been shown how diversity increases or enhances learning, and the ones admitted with lower scores are never featured in graduation statistics (as Thomas Sowell has said, when students find they are out-matched, they either scream “racism” or quietly change their major to ethnic “studies” - Chicano studies, black studies, women’s studies, etc.
I expect the UC system to lose its coveted place as one of the “public ivies” soon.
Also never mentioned are the far more qualified students, whites, Asians, who are immediately locked out by these victim as qualified policies.
