Kevin Gough, a lawyer for Mr. Bryan, didnt immediately respond to a request for comment. In an interview last week, he said Mr. Bryan had no role or involvement in that shooting. He has committed no crime. He is a witness.
Mr. Arberys family and civil-rights activists have pressed for weeks for authorities to charge Mr. Bryan, arguing he wasnt simply a witness but was involved in the young mans killing.
In an April letter to the Glynn County Police Department, George Barnhill, the district attorney in Waycross who oversaw the case for a period before recusing himself, wrote that Mr. Bryan was in hot pursuit of Mr. Arbery along with the McMichaels in the moments leading up to the shooting. Mr. Bryan is also named as a witness in a police report.
On May 7, the GBI arrested the McMichaels and charged them with murder and aggravated assault. The agency said it executed a search warrant at the McMichaels home on Tuesday. Lawyers for both men have said they arent guilty and have been subject to a rush to judgment.

Because a cell phone is also a gun.
The argument from some is the decedent was scared and that is why he ran towards the armed neighbor and literally physically attacked him. That seems extremely unlikely, from my perspective.
The other argument seems to be he was defending himself by running towards an armed neighbor and literally physically attacked him. I’m not buying that “defense” argument either.
Uh, that comment was in general, in the future...After this, people will become even less involved when they should be doing the opposite. Again, I’m not speaking of this specific case or incident.
Speaking of Travis, there is not a whole lot of information about him.
What did he do for a living, did he live in the house with his dad?
Police are uniformed civilians.
In other words, if this turns into a big public or show trial which it might, many watching will more than likely want to avoid getting involved in their own neighborhoods. That’s why I made the comment, when seconds count, the cops are minutes away.
And it is risky. S**t happens. Just looking at the wrong someone, if they think you saw them commit a crime, they want to kill you.
Just like the Travon Martin show, black activists will be running the prosecution.
This is starting to sound like the Duke Lacrosse case where Mike Nifong brought charges aganist a cab driver to pressure his testimony.
And you are suggesting instead that he just happened to be there on that street, at that time, with his camera filling a truck chasing down a black kid? No, sorry, there are already plenty of information out there that says this was a lie, that he knew the two and was out there with them to record their assault and murder. And then hid it for two months until confronted with the email (did he get cold feet and leak it or did he share it with someone or somewhere that then forced him to confront it and his involvement. There is obviously more to his involvement, sufficient for a murder charge. He was no idle just-happen-to-be-there witness.
Likely. We have seen this before. Hands Up.
Not surprised he was finally charged as well.....but as with all three a charge is just that. We shall certainly see what the facts bring.
Agree....guilty or not this was not any way to handle the situation.
No, nothing like that. These are three thugs that chased down and killed a black man jogging on a residential street. The three were not cops, not security, not witnesses to a crime, not anything but thugs out to chase down a black man jogging in their neighborhood. I think justice will be served that they recorded and saved the recording of the murder. The videographer will likely sing to stay out of jail, the other two won’t be so lucky. What will the idiot son do, blame dad? And failed cop dad, was he just driving at the unknown request of his idiot son?

Yep. Nifong should have been black and he wouldnt have ended up being disbarred.
Wasn’t there some guy who went after people on a train or something of that nature.....anyway he’s in jail.

Minor detail...when he was killed he wasnt jogging, he had ceased jogging and was assaulting and trying to wrestle the shotgun away from the son.
It is a public street, they chased him down and murdered him on a public street. To say they had right to because they lived there and he didn’t is absurd on every level.
So now planning on catching a thief who is stealing from you and your neighbors is a conspiracy? What a crock of S**T. This is something only a former LEO could imagine.
Would you argue that an arresting officer that had a gun pulled out and while trying to arrest someone then had the perp charge him that the officer should not have been able to shoot? Of course not, it is the same thing.
You are outnumbered by the people who think that there are no black joggers
