The President can get away with calling Senators crooks. Pompeo is great but he's not the President and he has to deal with the Senate on a different level.

I'm just saying that it's not always wise to call someone who has oversight authority a criminal in public, even if he obviously is one. That's a bit beyond just fighting back. It's more like issuing Menendez a double-dog-dare. Menendez will take the challenge, you watch.
