Connecticut is the last of all 50 states to ease social-distancing orders

Connecticut will on Wednesday allow residents to eat in outdoor restaurants and shop inside stores, becoming the last of all 50 states to ease social-distancing orders to prevent the spread of the coronavirus.

Still, Connecticut officials, as are those in other states, are taking a measured, step-by-step approach to reopening and getting their economies restarted.

Gyms, nail salons, spas, theaters and tattoo parlors and bars that do not serve food will remain closed until at least June 20, unless earlier modified.

I also don’t understand how we (CT) are the “final” state to “reopen,” when some states are still shut tighter than a drum.

ALL democRAT governors are a pain in the wazoo... they’re more than that: Most of ‘em are outright commies. Not much different from the current governors of NY, NJ, MI, IL, WA, CA, etc.

All true.

At least we can go into stores to look at items instead of doing order online/curbside pickup like other NE states are doing.
That is just way to screw small independent stores who don’t have the money to spend to do a online store. The chains already had that in place or were able to modify their current eCommernce website by essentially making each store a warehouse

Knowing Americans, this entire incident will be a distant memory by September. Coronas-whaaaaa-?

The "bad" word there is INDEPENDENT. I think that the liberals loathe that word...way too "Declaration of Independence."

Lol. Doesn't make a lot of sense, does it?
Of course, there MIGHT be some mitigating group there or political party, calling or not calling or HALF-WAY calling the shots.
It's confusing as H-E-double hockey sticks to me as well.

I came and went AS I PLEASED. No governor is going to tell me that I have to stay home unless....

I HAD to wear the mask to enter the store but WE ALL KNOW that the "mask" is NOT 100% safe. I couldn't give the virus to others if I had it but I could still catch it from someone else.

Well, you can’t imagine what it’s like to live among the worst sheeple, sarcasm is not expected, or even recognized by me anymore, as the people here have gone mad w/vigilantism of the worst sort. And they wear masks outdoors all the time, they are idiots and I’m going crazy myself.

I dropped off some papers to register a vehicle yesterday. The government worker told me it could take up to four weeks to process the application. I don’t understand! They’re not working they’re not doing anything. They’re probably getting half the number of registrations that they normally get. But no Connecticut DMV is union goons who want to sit around and do nothing for four weeks.
