Covid Nazi: Costco turning tyrannical
Citizen Free Press ^ | 5.19.20

We need to proactively reach out to these companies that are allowing this behavior and tell them it is NOT acceptable. I just left a message for the CFO of Costco and I highly recommend you all do the same.

The forcing of masks on us like we're sheep is completely unacceptable and if we don't step to the plate and push back on this they won't stop.

If you were prepared for the SHTF, you wouldn’t have to go to Costco. I haven’t been there in three months. So, you might want to consider how prepared YOU are.

If you are putting off family gatherings for fear of the police, you are the one living in fear. If there is a will there is a way. You seem to be afraid, not me.

And how have I submitted to anything? Clearly you are making assumptions about how I live my life. Just to give you a heads up, I have been posting about this since the first week of January. At no time have I ever posted anything having to do with predictions, other than to say that people counting deaths are stupid. I did suggest people buy an extra cans of beans. Evidently you didn’t heed my warnings.

You sit there and pound your fist about being controlled. Yet, you cite things have happened to YOU, but no one told you to not go to a family celebration. You are free to celebrate Easter. Not a single “right” of yours has been taken away.

I am all for opening up. I think you should be free to do whatever you want. You suggest this is all to “control” me. To what end? I hear all of these accusations, but no one ever answers “why?” Do you think all the unions want to stay out of work? Do you think the Dems all want to keep America at home so there is no tax revenues to steal?

Your arguments do not make any sense. And the best you can conjure are personal attacks against me. It’s a pretty weak rant.

I am sure you are hurting your hand from pounding it on the walker in front of you. Take some time, read the Constitution, read the Emergency Management laws in your states because clearly you have no idea how any of this works.

You don’t like it, so you cry like a little baby who just got told “no.” That’s worthwhile.

If the SHTF, this LY would leave you behind. I do t need a loud mouthed fool making a lot of noise when we have stuff to do. If you want a roll of toilet paper, drop me your address. I have plenty from December and I can spare a roll for an old guy.

I see you read the daily reports that non medical folks post about the masks.

I wonder why they wear them in operating rooms? Must be so you don’t sneeze into an open cavity.

And, if they are so ineffective how come places where the people wear them have lower rates of transmission?

I guess they are all wrong.

You have been the victim of normalcy bias. Use the brains God gave you. And if you want to go to Costco, wear a mask.

Honestly, I do not care what you do. I don’t write that in a hateful way. I really don’t care. Wear a mask or not. But understand that Costco will make you wear one when you go in. Don’t bitch about it.

I did my research. Do yours. And don’t forget to mask up.

CostCo might have been instructed by their liability insurance carrier to require masks and 6ft distancing by the customers in their stores as a condition of renewing their insurance policy.

It’s the same reason why so many retailers always post “No Guns” signs everywhere: The insurance companies demand it.

The only way to prevent it is for Congress to pass a COVID relief bill that includes an amendment for liability immunity from lawsuits by customers.

Right, it’s all just stuff that “happened” to me. I suspect that 33+ million newly unemployed people might disagree.

You are free to celebrate Easter.

Really? That’s funny, no one in my state has been able to go to church since before St. Patrick’s Day.

Interesting that you suggest that my unwillingness to violate moronic government edicts is “living in fear”. So I guess if I think a law or government decree is stupid, I should just ignore it and see what happens?

And you clearly don’t have a very good grasp of the Constitution or the concept of rights. Like all fearbros, you quickly resort to insults, while accusing me of having started it. And you further accuse me of “pounding my keyboard” and/or walker? I’m not pounding my keyboard, and I’m not old or using a walker. But I know, it’s all ok because you’re such an enlightened, prepped, tough-guy (or gal) in Vermont. Oooohhh, scary kiddies!

I don’t even go to Costco, and I am not lacking for anything in the way of food or other supplies. Guess I won’t need to come begging to you for TP, and certainly not for intelligent conversation. Go stockpile some more cans of beans, or whatever it is you do that makes you think you’re a genius.

If you don’t even go to Costco WTF are you bitching about?

You guys kill me. You never miss an opportunity to rush into a thread and cry. You are like the folks that go onto NFL threads to announce you don’t watch football.

You aren’t old? I gotta tell you, the level of anger in your post reflect a degree of elderly thinking.

I celebrated Easter with my family. In the back yard. You make due with what you have. I have a good family. That’s all I needed.

When you disagree with a law to the degree that you write about in a thread where you have no “dog in the fight” you disobey it and flood the system. You protest. It’s called civil disobedience.

But no, it’s easier to come on here and rant about it. You make it sound like you have your gun ready and you are going to charge the barricades. Yet in reality, you cower in subjugation. You are worse than what you accuse me of.

I am no tough guy. I AM somewhat of a prepper. I don’t like floating down a stream like a leaf. There are too many rocks and waterfalls. If you are not thinking ahead...you are gonna find yourself in some turbulence—like right now.

Next time you pick a fight with someone you might want to think about how weak your position is.

Best answer of the day. I know there are places where I worked at one time who won’t bring everyone back into the office until JULY for that exact reason.

I have plenty of them. Had them for years. You are probably wearing your underwear sewn into a mask.

It's a private business. They have the right to demand that everyone shop in bikinis, to say nothing of face masks. You have the marvelous right not to shop there if you don't like their policies.

Bingo!

I’ve know a few people that wear them. In construction takes a moment to get used to - a dude in a skirt.

But they were made from Carhart type denim with pockets everywhere. So that was ok.

Would be summertime stuff where I live now. 15 degrees average temp winter time on a mild year.

They use them in surgical theaters, and always have, and those are not even N95s, which seal tighter. Of course they do something. You can argue if the virus is a big deal, but not that masks will help limit spread if it is.

Knowing the degree of intelligence activity in regular society, it is impossible these days to know if what you see is real. But masks are the one option I see advocated that cannot hurt. If this is fake, no harm no foul, and it screws up facial recognition and maybe the domestic surveillance/informant network if you are not a high priority target.

But if this is bad for seniors, masks could save lives, and it costs me almost nothing to wear one.

Can’t grasp why people are so against this.

Please get off the whole "It's a private business./ It's their store" crap. Yes We Know. So are Facebook, Googevil, Twitt ... Doesn't stop any of them from behaving in a tyrannical manner (could even say fascist in the sense of enforcing govt diktat).

I know what the positive pressure masks are for or can help with. My point was that they are quite expensive comparatively. At any rate, getting PPE on the consumer side right now - even specialized PPE is pretty tough considering they are reserving a lot of if for medical and the rest has been bought up or hoarded long ago. To get a respirator (reusable) and filter cartridges, you’ll have to order and wait.

"Really? If it prevents INHALING respirable microdroplets by 96%, why are we told that we have to wear the mask to protect OTHER PEOPLE from US?"

Uh, because it does BOTH at the same time. The self-protection rate is 96%, the "other-protection" rate is 99+%.IOW, a mask traps both inhaled or exhaled particles.

"Two and a half months later, we are still being told we have to stay home, wear masks, social distance."

Because the virus is still killing more than 1000 people A DAY in the US. That rate HAS gone down significantly, and progress is most certainly happening. What you fail to grasp is that if you "do" wear a mask, the need to stay home and social distance goes away.

I like the situation as little as anyone else, but as a scientist, I have no choice but to go where the best data tells me I need to. Wearing a mask is a trivial price to pay to protect my fellow citizens, and to a lesser extent, myself.

"You know how to use google but your mind is made up no matter what you read."

Hardly. I'm a scientist...and I go where the best data leads. The "masks don't work" meme contradicts known physics. A COVID-19 particle is still a particle, and all the same physical laws apply to it as much as to any other particle.
