Newly released police bodycam video shows Georgia slay victim Ahmaud Arbery being handcuffed and arrested for shoplifting in 2017.
The video, dated Dec. 1, 2017, shows Arbery and three teenagers being confronted by police in the parking lot of a Walmart shopping center, according to the footage posted on YouTube on Tuesday.
Tell me about the TV, a police officer asks. TV? What? We dont have any TV, Arbery, wearing shorts and a parka, responds. What about the 65-inch TV? the cop says. Sixty-five inch TV? Arbery says. Do me a favor, the cop replies. All of you take a seat. Take a seat for what? Arbery snaps back. I dont know nothing about no TV . I dont steal no TV.
Another man, presumably a Walmart employee, then approaches and the police officer tells him, its that one right there with the fur jacket suggesting Arbery and the man nods. What TV? Arbery says. The TV is in there, motioning toward the store. Arbery then claims he has a receipt and tries to get up from the ground, but is placed in handcuffs and put into a squad car. Hes driven back to the store, where he and the three teenagers are seen walking into the back of the store and into a rear office, where the video eventually ends. The outcome of the shoplifting arrest is not clear. The release of the footage comes one day after another bodycam video shows a confrontation between Arbery a month earlier at a local park...

Where did they live?
I see. He was scared so he ran towards and attacked the neighbor with the shotgun. That's a really strange way for a scared person to behave.
Not true. The elder McMichael knew ALL ABOUT Mr. Abery.
The elder McMichael knew ALL ABOUT Mr. Abery.
So youve bought into the leftist vile mainstream news medias storyline about the shooting? How woke of you!
Of course not. What explains his shooting death is being stupid enough to attack a man with a shotgun.
I thought that was pretty self evident.
He had an absolute right to do so. The man's a thief, he'd been caught numerous times on video, and he attacked the man holding a shotgun.
You run up and hit a man with a shotgun and try to take it away from him, you are a dead fool.
No it won’t. They will both be acquitted. Self defense trumps crap criminal attacking someone every day of the week.
They did not do so. Everything they did, including shooting that criminal, was legal.
No. Someone scared of a shotgun (all normal people) will not "try to get it away from them." They will either run away, or do whatever the guy with the shotgun tells them to do.
Only an insane fool will try to take on a man with a shotgun.
So. What.
That wont hold up in court, Matlock
A trial is not supposed to be an investigation. During a trial, lawyers only ask questions they already know the answer to. A trial is warranted only if the finished investigation gathered enough evidence that the likelihood of a murder conviction is very high.
“We dont have any TV”
Flynn judge: PERJURY! Lock him up.
Nothing is going to help in court. If they were basing this on law and common sense, they wouldn't be holding a trial at all.
This is a show trial. The outcome will hinge entirely on the sort of people they put on the jury, not the facts.
False. Don't repeat lies.
No gun was pointed at the thief until the thief started running at the man with the shotgun. Get it right. Don't spread lies.
As a CCW holder in FL, I would not have put myself in the position to confront this POS. This was a no win situation. While I have no doubt these two white guys saved the taxpayer from having to support this future convict, it was not a good shoot. Call me crazy, but Im not gonna chase down a thief and draw my weapon. Its too difficult to defend in court.
These two concerned citizens about to learn that the hard way.
I think a trial is warranted if the investigation shows a criminal act was committed and that conviction is reasonably high. If we only ever bothered trying to prosecute slam-dunk cases, we’d barely have any criminals in prison.
Also, I think that given what’s been released so far, a prosecution narrative of this being a well-meaning encounter handled poorly is a much easier sell and lends itself to manslaughter. Murder requires they prove ill intent going into the encounter. Manslaughter removes the burden of proving intent or mindset and looks simply at what took place.
