Millions will starve and die because of this nonsense and those deaths will be much slower and more painful than any of these hundreds of thousands or so covid-19 deaths.

Models, especially those with a large number of variables have such wide error bands that the assumptions drive the results.

With the right assumptions for variables, you can persuade a model to dance a polka.
