There are powers delegated to the president to see that laws are enforced in the nation and to make sure laws are not violated in the nation.
Federal laws, not state laws.
Stop and think. If you support Trump telling New York that they have to open then would also support a President Biden telling Texas they have to close?
Name the delegated power for a federal shut down, or to regulate commerce within a State, or to regulate activity that is not commerce but tangentially affects it?
Also, only federal statutes pursuant to the federal Constitution are lawful, no matter if Congress has passed them. The vast majority of what the federal does is not pursuant to the Constitution ... so the obligation to enforce said statutes is likewise fake.
Or what do you think, if it is per Marbury worse than a solemn mockery to require justices to take their oath of office and then make them close their eyes to the Constitution and see only statutes then what is it to require anyone who takes an oath to uphold the Constitution to close their eyes to the Constitution and see only the rulings of the Court?
