Because the evidence was not yet declassified? perhaps? Now that it is, the evidence is there so the Intel operatives that did this can’t hide behind classified information. Maybe that explains it.

The declassified and now released memo makes all the difference. Before hand, any senate panel inquiry would be, and would be viewed as, fishing. Additionally, it could have been viewed as interference into the Durham investigation of events. Now with the memo release, the evidence justifying the subpoena is plain for all to see.
Dont get me wrong. I dont see anything coming from any congressional inquiry. The only hope of seeing perp walks comes from Durham. Congressional inquiries only work against republicans.
