I posted this on another thread.... everyone should drop their pitchforks and listen to him directly and hear his words -

His words are pretty strong. I think many people deserve to go to prison for what they did to Trump (and our nation) for over 2 years.

The AG of the United States pretty much just shut down the whole Russian collusion delusion. Full stop.

The AG of the United States pretty much condemned the actions of his own DOJ, the Mueller probe, and the media narrative we were forced to endure for 2 plus years.

*he also implicated our intelligence agencies

I get the anger and I too feel angry about what happened. However, this was NOT a milquetoast statement by Barr today. He has the goods to back up what he said or he would not have said it.

I don’t know that anyone will go to jail and it would be very inappropriate for him to come out and say they will!

I ate the disappointment long ago and have said that a full accounting of what took place was the most important thing so Americans could judge for themselves. He has pretty much promised that today.

His comments today were blunt and unequivocal that the President was the victim of an injustice. He essentially said what many of us have been screaming for a long time.

2 standards of justice
Weaponizing our DOJ and intel agencies for partisan political purposes
This whole thing was bunk and he left open the potential that some of it was criminal.

Barr is not going to tolerate partisan hacks in the DOJ and he should say that. He said there will be an accounting of some sorts. At this point I will take it. Having the idea that Biden/Obama were somehow going to be dragged before a Grand Jury was a pointless exercise in futility and actually plays into the hands of the left and the media - i.e. - Trump is targeting his political opponents via his DOJ. That is not tolerable either and will just keep the hyperbole going.

Barr gave us a lot today and when you step back from the anger we all justifiably feel about what happened, it was a very strong statement that indicates that the Durham investigation is showing and in Barr’s own assessment - we were right.

The rest of it will be up to history......

P.S. - it will still be “Obamagate”

Okay, Pollyanna.

Your post was well stated. I get it.

However...have I not read this in Orwell’s 1984 or was it Atlas Shrugged?

“not every abuse of power, no matter how outrageous, is necessarily a federal crime.”

Nice non knee jerk reaction. You’re going to catch some crap from the herd, however.

Barr is happy to “investigate” the Obama admin now because
nothing substantive will come of that and it avoids shining a light on what has happened during Trump’s term. That, to me, is far more important and illustrative.

You’ve got Gowdy all over Fox telling us the FIB lied to Congress during 2017 about spying on the Trump.

And what did the GOP controlled Congress did nothing about it. Nothing.

And what happened to Roger stone for alleging lying to Congress? A swat raid and jail.

The bottom line is The Swamp, in a bipartisan attack, has stolen Trump’s first term from us.

I love your optimism, but the problem with it is that Barr is over the DOJ. It was Sidney Powell, not Barr that forced the DOJ to drop the Flynn case. Barr was going to let the DOJ hang Flynn. Barr should have been the one who reviewed his own department and dropped the case himself since Flynn is an innocent man!

Is sedition still a federal crime?

So we are still afraid of the media instead just doing what's right.

I'm not dismissing the rest of your post. Just pointing out the bottom line what you think we should do and the reason why we should do it.

Almost doesn’t count. Barr is useless.
