Sherlock Holmes notoriously used a 7% solution of cocaine, ostensibly to stimulate his mind. Morning Joe used a somewhat smaller dose, a 4% solution, to trash President Trump today regarding the coronavirus.

No fewer than seven times in the opening segment, Joe Scarborough and Mika Brzezinski mentioned that whereas the US has about 4% of the world's population, it has 29% of the world's coronavirus cases and deaths.

The purpose of Morning Joe's exercise was obvious: to trash President Trump.

Joe also fails to mention that China has flat out lied about the number of cases and deaths. The numbers for China are WAY off.

I wonder how they actually know how many coronavirus cases there truly are in, say, China. Or even in the rest of the world.

Because unless the prevalence of accurate is uniform, comparing data between countries only tells you which country has the most tests, not which one has the most coronavirus.

Things is that Joe and Mika are smart enough to know that. They just don't care because it serves their narrative.
