“So yeah it really hurt to have my old seat flip back to Republican-for a ton of people & also for me,” Hill tweeted Sunday. “In fact, it was pretty ******* devastating. I went offline & cried for a few days but, as always, getting ready to stand back up & keep fighting. Hope you are too.”

There were four known contenders in that race. The Democrat came in first in the first round, but not by much. The next two spots were taken by Republicans who garnered a total of around 60% of the vote. The fourth was the Young Turk Cenk Uygur who got a dismal 5% of the vote.
It was obvious that once it was down to a single Republican, one with a Hispanic surname, that the Dems were done for.
The Dems may have been able to keep that seat for some time, but swingers gotta swing.
