This “news” is like a week old.
so, who got fired?
Present a lie, get caught, and then pretend you regret the lie. That is Meet the Press, alright!
You beat me to it
Fixed the spelling error.
The only thing I find to be newsworthy on Meet the Press is that Chuck Todd is married to a woman.
“inadvertently and inaccurately”. They prove the point of being called fake news. They knew exactly what they were saying.
Not creepy little Chuck Todd, unfortunately.
Thanks for posting this real news about fake news.
Yeah, it was inadvertent. No one meant to do it. It was an honest mistake.
The Todd “apology” I heard blamed the editing on CBS, which was also bulls***.
Thanks for posting this. As others have noted, the story a week old. But so what? Its still news to me because I missed it the first time.
And when does news cease to be news, and becomes something historical? I dont know. But Im pretty sure its more than one week.
BARR: Well, history is written by the winner. So it largely depends on whos writing the history. But I think a fair history would say that it was a good decision because it upheld the rule of law. It helped, it upheld the standards of the Department of Justice, and it undid what was an injustice.
And Todd says:
Todd then said, I was struck by the cynicism of the answer. Its a correct answer. But hes the attorney general. He didnt make the case that he was upholding the rule of law. He was almost admitting that, yeah, this is a political job.
Specifically ignoring what the AG said! This is one reason why I gave up on the Sunday shows over a decade ago, and why many many other people have too.
So FU Chuck Todd!
On air jerk blaming the editing....
One of the staff members who does the deliberate editing of such items should step up and tell the world “That’s not shocking to me. We slant and edit and re-arrange the news all the time. They have a board meeting to say how the story will be shaped and tell us to get going.”
On their last day working there.
I remember watching the Sunday news shows as a kid and being intrigued by them. For the most part, they were impartial and were thought provoking. What we have now is trash.
The only thing I find to be newsworthy on Meet the Press is that Chuck Todd is married to a woman. <<
AKA: “A Beard”
Good work. The parts you highlighted are damning to NBC. Thats why this story is so important, and must not go away.
