They say that if you live long enough, youll get to experience nearly everything, and so it has been for Joe Biden, who has lived to see historys first Zoom presidential campaign. Unfortunately for him, its his.
Nobody looks good on Zoomor FaceTime or Skype or any of the other online simulacra of human interaction that the lockdown has forced upon us. It diminishes all the distractions and intangibles that give life texture and zest, that make life seem rather pleasanter than it is. Did anyone fully understand just how unfunny late-night talk-show hosts aretake your pick; I pick Stephen Colbertuntil the pandemic forced them online and deprived them of the Pavlovian and highly implausible laughter of their studio audiences? So too with political campaigns.

At this rate, it won’t be long before the only people still pretending that Biden is presidential will be fake conservatives, e.g., Jen Rubin, Max Boot, The Dispatch and The Bulwark.
Imagine Biden winning, and giving the 90-minute State-of-the-Union message next year.
He is a disaster. The technical problems and lack of awareness of social media, where the camera is, and inability to string together a few coherent sentences are something else.
What is up with the aviator glasses? Am I the only one who finds that extremely odd for an old man. He looked like he practiced removing them and his opening lines to the bathroom mirror this week.
Hi. I am Tom Cruiser, er Joe Biden (as he carefully removes his RayBan aviators), and I am happy to welcome you into my basement today.......
You forgot to add Peggy Noonan to that list of fakes.
“The whole rally was, in short, a disasternot a lasting or sizable one, but easily, in its comprehensiveness, the equal of any in my political experience, and I covered the 2016 Jeb Bush campaign. “
OUCH.
That should be the Presidents only campaign ad. All it needs is I approve this message
Have to pass the turd so you can find out what is in it
Yes, Peggy is such a disappointment. Had a bit of a crush on her when she was a 30something Reagan speechwriter. She seemed like a fun kind of young woman who believed in RR and his vision for this country. Somewhere along the line, though, Peggy’s brain disintegrated and her act became tiresome. She hasn’t had anything interesting to say in at least 25 years. When I bother to read her in the WSJ, I scan the first few paragraphs, and it’s always her same old boring cliches.
Lefties don’t like God.
Lefty Andrew Ferguson, writing for the lefty rag The Atlatic, writes:
:If we work hard, Crist said, this man will become president of the United States. And God is going to be happy for it. If your last name is Crist, you can say stuff like that.
The only thing worse than his virtual campaign would be an actual campaign where he interacted with folks outside of a scripted environment.
The guy is done.
I agree.....if the left thinks Biden is bad via video, just wait until he actually has to perform on the fly without pre-scripted material.
Trashing their own candidate.
Something is up...but I seriously doubt he will be the nominee of the dumbles.
