The presumption is that the two negative tests were false negatives. Nobody actually thinks they “got the virus again” — there’s nobody on the ship to GIVE It to them again, and they are not interacting with others.
I don’t know why we don’t have a blood test for this. They are doing nasal passage swabs, which is probably good for a quick check when you are GETTING INFECTED, but probably not when you are getting over it. It’s going to be buried inside, not sitting around in your nose.
