.
"Even as the American people want to get back to work and for Congress to do its job in Washington, Speaker Pelosi is preparing the House for extended recess — even beyond the initial 45-day proxy voting period,” Mark Bednar, a spokesman for Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy, said.

They are determined. This is their last stand against Trump and conservatives. Scorched earth policy. Conservatives have two choices, EITHER rise up and force Trump to resign, or watch the country’s economy go down in flames. There is no middle ground with these people.

It’s not a real recess, Mitch has made sure to have pro-forma sessions to block Trump from making recess appointments.

PDJT explained how the Constitution permits such executive authority during extraordinary times like these in a press conference below in April.

Work?

These animals don’t work. Any bogus bills that need assembling is done by their leftist staffers and they merely scratch their signatures.

At this particular point, stop all pay and allowances to the entire House! Then attempt to get the reps appointed by their state legislatures. Any compensation should be paid out of their state treasury. That’s the way it used to be done!

So... your saying that they will come back in the nick of time to extend the $600 a month benefits, with all of the leftist poison pills like vote by mail and dare President Trump to veto it?

"House Democrats are preparing to pass a resolution Friday that would set up a recess lasting until July 21."

They can stay gone permanently.
The American public doesn't missing them.

Yes, they need to get out in front of the anti-shutdown wave. Too bad Trump is leading the way for a month.

It looks like they are planning on passing Polousy’s $3 trillion stimulus to put the Senate and President in the position to accept it as is or reject it. Toss the whole thing and pass a Senate Republican version to blame Pelousy for nothing being done.

No need to draw that flack if not necessary. House recesses, the Senate follows, cram through a bunch of recess appointments. In fact, have the paperwork standing by just awaiting signature so that the next morning, after both have recessed, sign a whole bunch of appointments.

Fill the courts with conservative justices!

I don’t have any problem with Blue State governors shutting down their economies. Just don’t expect me to bail them out.

Great!

We don't need to worry about Nancy stealing another $3T from taxpayers to buy votes from layabouts.

Do you think today’s circumstances would qualify ? They certainly would be questioned, castigated, fought, legally challenged, and politicized.

For what purpose could congress be adjourned ?....to address a waning COVID pandemic...or to appoint judges. Neither would fly, imho.

Time for serious recess appointments....as well as suspend their pay. Welcome to the real world. No work? No pay!

I like this idea. With the House in session, the Senate won’t have anything to do . . . except confirming more judges who support the rule of law.
