I missed the take on the California House victory. Does anyone have any thoughts on the significance? thanks.
It has limited significance as the turnout of older voters in the 65 area was very big and younger voters was extremely low.
They will have a rematch with these candidates in November. It will not be this lopsided win.
The California restrictions are getting Republican voters ginned up and ironically it makes the Democrat voters complacent, at least in this one instance.
November will be a different environment and California will very much be a pain in the ass with their Vote by Mail ballots littering the entire state.
We held the seat from 1990 to 2018. Lost it in 2018 and got it back in a special election. Not really a shock. Even democrats said theyd lose it. Wisconsin was an easy win replacing Sean Duffy in a deep red district. Im glad we won but it wasnt an earthquake.
A Republican just won a House seat in California by a larger margin than Democrats could possibly steal through ballot harvesting.
As I said, the consultant class is soiling it’s diapers this morning.
