ROTFLMAO when I realized what Trump had really done here.

OMG.

So, here I am sitting alone and all of the sudden it occurs to me Trump drew them in again. By them, I mean the Libtards running their states into the ground.

I can hear Trump on the campaign trail "You want 4 more years of that!? Whhhhhy?"

The power hungry chimps made declarations in "their sole power" and the One Silverback sat back satisfied "they would act responsibly"

They continue to demonstrate their authority each time they declare two more weeks, fine people, yank their licenses, etc.

Trump isn't doing any of that

The Givenors own all that...

I think you are giving him undeserved credit.

Based on what he said his powers are, the question to him would be if you knew better why didn’t you step in and take control and help state’s economies come back quicker? Can’t have it both ways, Mr. President.

Actually President Trump has nation wide control over commerce. The Governors can play with other stuff, but Trump has the last say on businesses. And it has already been ruled on that no state border crossing is required for his control.

In a round-a-bout way, Trump could get these states up and running again!

The feds are quick to jump when it involves White on Black Civil Rights Violations so ... Why don't they involve themselves when it involves ... Everyone's Civil Rights?

I don't understand why the feds don't put an end to the trampling of the peoples constitutional rights!?

Regardless of what or how individual state constitutions are written .. States are subject to the U.S. Constitution, same as the feds!

No State shall make or enforce any law which shall abridge the privileges or immunities of citizens of the United States.

This greatly expanded the civil and legal rights of all American citizens by protecting them from infringement by the states as well as by the federal government.

The third clause, "nor shall any State deprive any person of life, liberty or property, without due process of law," expanded the due process clause of the Fifth Amendment to apply to the states as well as the federal government.

Over time, the Supreme Court has interpreted this clause to guarantee a wide array of rights against infringement by the states, including those enumerated in the Bill of Rights (freedom of speech, free exercise of religion, right to bear arms, etc.) as well as the right to privacy and other fundamental rights not mentioned elsewhere in the Constitution.

In Marbury v. Madison (1803) the Supreme Court announced for the first time the principle that a court may declare an act of Congress void if it is inconsistent with the Constitution.

Everything that these dictators are doing is unconstitutional .. regardless of any State or added on Amendment laws!

As a citizen, not owned or working for the state and who's God Given Rights were affirmed by the Highest court in the land, I have the Right ... the duty, not to obey any unlawful order, just because some 'appointed' entity has deemed it a law!

President Trump is likely referring to the authority granted to him by Congress for emergency declarations.

Since the Covid-19 was a national emergency, the President has some temporary authority to immediately act unilaterally that he wouldn't normally have under regular order circumstances.

Title 18, section 242 is all the authority Trump needs to imprison—possibly for life—any official who attempts to enforce any lockdown order.

Actually, President Trump actually DOES have this authority. Since a lockdown in any one state likely has an effect on other states, it falls under interstate commerce and Wickard v. Filburn applies.
