Trying to undermine a duly and legally elected President must be against some law, but treason it isn’t. Treason is defined in the Constitution itself and involves making war against the United States and/or giving aid and comfort to its enemies. I’m not a lawyer, but I think we have to be in a declared war to have an “enemy” and we’ve not been “at war” for nearly 3/4ths of a century.

I should very much like to see him locked up, deprived of pension and all the rest, but would a D.C./North VA jury convict him of anything?

You're right; I just used "treason" because it's the word that is always thrown around in these kinds of discussions.. "Sedition" might be closer to what I meant. My main point was that Brennan should be dealt with in a court of law, not through some sort of lynching.
