New York City's health commissioner brutally dismissed an urgent request from the NYPD for 500,000 protective face masks as the scale of the coronavirus crisis grew. Sources told the New York Post that Dr. Oxiris Barbot told a high ranking NYPD official 'I don't give two rats' ***** [ed] about your cops' when the request was made. The remark is said to have been made in March during a phone conversation with Terence Monahan, the police force's Chief of Department, the Post was told on Wednesday by sources close to the matter. Monahan had asked Barbot for 500,000 masks to help protect police officers in the city from the coronavirus as cases were rising sharply, but she told him only 50,000 could be provided.

She also told people to go out and enjoy the Chinese New Year parade and not listen to “misinformation about the virus.”
If she is the city’s health chief, she has to bear a good part of the responsibility for sending sick people back to nursing homes.

Hard to decide whom to hate more...these health officials, or these Gestapo police that beat up mothers in front of their children.
Nobody is buying masks for me or my family.
The cops can just log on to Amazon and buy their own masks like everyone else.
No surprise that these a-hole health commissioners in these lock down states are way over their head and people simply die because of the incompetence. All of us would be better off without the clowns at the FedGov level all the way down to the morons at the local level.
