99% reduction in mortality for a disease that is fatal for less than 1% of those ill.

Can we please just stop with the outrageous claims.

He might just as well say, “It’s as effective as nothing for almost everyone.”

He said 99% reduction in hospitalization AND deaths if you administer his protocol within 5 days of showing symptoms. So not just deaths. He is saying reduction in hospitalizations too.

A YouTube video is not a scientific paper. Where is his paper? FWIW he has to date published no data, described no study design, and reported no analysis, just YouTube videos and interviews.

Also by his own admission, most of the patients he treated with his protocol had not been tested for COVID-19. He was merely guessing a rate of infection in the Kiryas Yoel community based on a small number of tests performed and a fewer number of positives and extrapolated an infection rate that he later admitted was wrong and not as high as he originally claimed.

His claims are IMO also suspect as many of those he treated and has claimed to have prevented illness or hospitalization or death, may not have been infected in the first place, or had experienced mild to moderate cases that would have recovered without any sort of treatment. As for his protocol being a prophylactic, that can only be proven if those given the prophylactic were proven to have been exposed to the virus under circumstances that would have nearly guaranteed they would have gotten sick without it.

Again. YouTube videos and claims absent any hard data it is meaningless.

I could just as easily claim that rubbing lavender oil on the soles of the feet prevents 99% hospitalizations and mortality if those who I rubbed the lavender oil on were either not infected in the first place or had cases so mild that they would have recovered anyway. But at least their feet would smell nice.
