Licensing is just a ploy by established persons (think florists) to keep the competition out. Also gives the states a platform to regulate and tax. I hold a number of licenses in Texas. Makes jobs for bureaucrats
I cut my kids hair when they were young. No license...and looking at the old pics...I would have never gotten one.
