In the Ahmaud Arbery case, the media, as always, are theorizing in advance of the data, and they are doing so in service to a divisive racial agenda. The undisputed facts (excluding the inevitably self-interested statements from the men arrested) are as follows:
Travis McMichael shot 24-year-old Arbery. The question is whether it was self-defense, manslaughter or murder.
Greg and Travis McMichaels (father and son) are white, while Arbery was black.
Videos show Arbery entering a home under construction and Arbery inside the construction site.
Shortly before Arbery was shot, Greg called 911 to report that “There’s a black male running down the street.” He’s then heard to say “Goddamit. C’mon, Travis.”
In a second 911 call around the same time, an unidentified caller reported a possible burglary in the neighborhood, saying, “There’s a guy in the house right now, a house under construction.” Next, the caller said, “And he’s running right now. There he goes right now.” The unidentified caller reported that the possible burglar had been seen before in the neighborhood and had “been caught on the camera a bunch before at night,” adding “It’s kind of an ongoing thing out here.”
An infamous video (above) shows Arbery either running or jogging down the left side of the street. The verb “running” implies escape or aggression. The verb “jogging” has a recreational feel.
A white pick-up is seen further up the road, on the right side, with a man standing by the driver’s side door. Arbery abruptly veers across the street towards the right rear of the truck. A man stands in the truck bed. The video swerves, showing only foliage.
Seconds later, Arbery is running at top speed counterclockwise around the truck’s front right side.

The fatal mistake is the attempted disarm. A better idea is to get on the shooters side of the weapon. It is contrary to instinct but it can work. You do not take the weapon but you get in so close that he cannot use it.
Emil Yanilov here demonstrating the principle. He studied under the personal tutelage of the founder of Krav Maga, Imi Sde Or (Lichtenfeld).
You have got to be in Texas. :)
I know of no other place where ranches are so big that you can share "4 miles of fence."
If they have a weapon in the vehicle they will be detain by me and felony trespassing charges will be filed, they leave the ranch in cuffs and the vehicle will be towed.
You gotta do what you gotta do to protect your land and property.
Well thank you. I have to admit, I do love a good argument! :)
You do not take the weapon but you get in so close that he cannot use it.
The only way this is possible with a shotgun is if the man abhors the idea of shooting it at you. A man ready and willing to kill you would easily do so before you could close the distance.
I think the only reason Arbery got close enough to grab the gun is because Junior McMichaels really didn't want to shoot him, and probably believed he wouldn't have to do so.
He had it pointed down and tried to bring it up as Ahmaud came at him. Just my guess. If Travis was still trying to “arrest him” that would explain your valid point.
When did I claim he’s a liar?
When did I claim hes a liar?
Perhaps I misunderstood this:
Me: I'd just point out that the homeowner says that nothing was stolen from his house.
You: The homeowner has been getting death and arson threats since this happened. Do you think hes going to go to bat for the McMichaels and admit theft now? Not to mention what his insurance company is probably saying to him...
You know this from your own independent knowledge?
It would surprise no one to realize that they want no part of being material witnesses in this sh!t show. Pretty sure their statement was crafted by their attornies.
Know what?
Don’t you realize what you post?
I know exactly what I post.
Summary: Many here say that we shouldn’t believe the homeowner when he says nothing was stolen. We are told that he’s motivated to lie because he has had death threats. Then we are told that we know he’s had death threats, because he says so...and, on that, we should believe him.
It’s about consistency in logic, not about what I personally know.
Well, I know at as much as I did before I asked. Using such logic as yours or that akin to it, the dynamic father and son have got themselves 30 years to life. Their reasoning and powers of deduction, Which no one but the jail house lawyers agree with is going to get them a 30 year to life stint with the Georgia Department of Corrections. Along with the possibility of some Federal Time. The GIB certainly did not agree with their line of reasoning. And neither die the Attorney General of Georgia. This fact alone does not bode well for them.
My logic wasnt the subject of the post.
You posted allegations for facts in your initial post. That is why I asked if you knew this from your own independent knowledge.
You posted allegations for facts in your initial post. That is why I asked if you knew this from your own independent knowledge. No, I didn't. You need to take a reading and writing class.
Or sober up.

I reviewed the post in question and as much as it pains me to have to admit it, you are correct. I apologize and bend over to receive a swift kick in the pants as penance.
Well, I may easily be wrong, but some homeowner there stated that they had $2,500 of fishing gear stolen from their house. If it wasn’t Mr. English (owner of the house Arbery was seen in twice) then that’s my fault.
He’d continue coming back over and over.
Apparently you’ve never had your neighborhood terrorized by trespassing burglarizing thugs.
What did Greg Mcmichael tell him to drop on the 911 call?
Well not only that....
When they steal things you worked for... things you sacrificed for.... things you spent time away from your family to be able to earn a living and buy things you need or just want. For some people that’s worse than a physical attack.
And one thing that isn’t being stated enough is that these types of crimes ALWAYS escalate to worse or violent crime. I guarantee you mcmichael knew this and that’s one reason they were concerned about recent break ins.
