OWOSSO, Mich. —Armed members of the Michigan Home Guard stood outside Karl Manke's barber shop, ready to blockade the door if police arrived. They were determined to help Manke, 77, reopen his shop Monday, in defiance of state orders, and dozens joined them, wearing Trump sweatshirts and Trump cowboy hats and waving Trump flags.
They gathered not because they desperately needed haircuts but to rail against Democratic Gov. Gretchen Whitmer’s approach to fighting the coronavirus outbreak in Michigan, one of the nation’s worst hot spots. They were channeling President Trump’s support of such protests, but some also were taking aim at the state’s Republicans, who they say have not done enough to “liberate” the state from safety measures that have ground life to a halt.
Michelle Gregoire, a 29-year-old school bus driver from Battle Creek who is running as a Republican for a seat in the state House, waved a yellow “Don’t tread on me” flag at passing traffic. She derided Whitmer as “a tyrant.” But she also urged Republicans “to get in line and get it together.

The hearts of all Democrats are evil. This is manifested by and in their deeds. In 2012 at their Convention, they declared war upon God. They have attacked His Institution of Marriage As being between one man and one woman.They have attacked His creation of man and woman. They have taken the practice of medicine and changed it from healing to murder via abortion. Their thoughts and deeds are evil continuously. Yet the voters continue to elect them time after time, election after election. Why? Perhaps the voters want someone that is just ad evil as they. Just as degenerate. Just as perverse.To rule them. They do not wish to be Governed. As this lock down has demonstrated,the people wish to be ruled by a fist of iron.
What was/is the actual of this lock down? To save lives? Horsefeathers! If saving lives was the purpose, abortions would have been the first thing disallowed. Instead other medical procedures were disallowed and abortions were allowed, if not encouraged to proceed unchecked.And it is a medical fact, that each abortion performed results in at least one individual losing their lives,that blows that theory out of the water. So, back to the initial question, What was the actual purpose of the lock down?
The term “armed militia” is a fallacy right off the top. I’ve looked at film of the location from a number of sources and there were no weapons, not uniforms, only one US flag, one Michigan state flag, and no banners or guidon to indicate a formed militia.
This is a spin. There is an organization called Michigan Militia that is not a state or federal force and is made up of common citizens that have banded together. No different than the Salvation Army only not as big or organized. This group previously staged a protest at the capitol building in late April. This is another effort to attack the republicans and Trump by, saying in the same article, they are not doing enough and too much at the same time.
I would expect this type of hit piece from the WaPo as they historically have been so left leaning, they’ve fallen over a number of times.
