I do not think “bad optics” were worried about during the late eighteenth century.
Whine, whine, whine and then whine. Worry about something worthwhile. Something like halitosis on elevators. And keep your hands off of the God-given, Constitutionally recognized rights. You remember them, do you not, things called the right to peacefully assemble, petition the government for redress of grievances. And the right to keep and bear arms. Get a life.
