COVID-19 tyranny is turning people off. Even Californians who just want to go to the beach and surf.

I agree - the RATs are over playing their hand. Evidence suggests this virus is contained. We have 'adapted, improvised, and have overcome' ... but the RATs want to push fear to implement their agenda. They ran out of time.

First Republican to flip a California seat since 1998.

Yes but, this seat was Republican for as long as I can remember - maybe 30+ years, til 2018

Looks like the republicans have learned how to ballot harvest.

In November, we’re going to flip some more California seats.

Remember.. we did ZERO ballot harvesting in 2018. Hell, California republicans weren’t even aware of the law.

Then it’s good to see it flip back. Hopefully this lead holds up to the Democrat mail ballots yet to be counted.

Quoting an NY Times reporter (Jennifer Medina) covering the race...

“Tonight’s results so far are from mail ballots. But Republicans also appeared to make up the majority of the steady trickle of voters at several polling places this morning.”

Only in the absence of a blue wave. Generic looks awful for us right now.

In March we were told that we were supposed to flatten the curve, not eliminate the virus. Now they’ve moved the goalposts.

No it doesn’t. Republicans are often down double digits in the generic ballot. Right now RCP has it at 7.7...

and it’s May.

I figure that the ‘Rats must believe that it would be in their best interest to let the GOP win this one, to convince the GOP to relent on mail in elections. Then the ‘Rats will revert to their best tricks come November.

If the GCB polling was correct, WI-7 and CA-25 would not have had the results that they did tonight.

Go be “concerned” elsewhere.

Sorry, Nate Silver tried to make the case that winning California and Wisconsin tonight demonstrated a “Blue Wave” coming. They wanted it and wanted it bad.

I second the motion, metaphorically speaking.

We were told we were going to be locked down for approximately two weeks in order to flatten the curve so hospitals would not be overwhelmed.

We have succeeded in flattening the curve but the lockdowns are continuing in many parts of the country.

This all begs the question as to why lockdowns would continue if we have achieved the goal that was set in the first place?

There are probably 50 liquor stores and nail salons where 350000 mail in ballots are being carefully prepared for discovery in misplaced ballot boxes tomorrow morning...
