Now the purpose of the leaked conference call, aka instructions, from former President Barack Obama come into play. In a very unusual move today Michael Flynn’s judge, Emmet Sullivan, enters an order granting outside parties the time to enter amicus briefs (friend of the court) to assist in guiding the court; a briefing schedule to follow.
It looks like the judge wants to give former DOJ employees (2,000 signatures on letter) an opportunity to publicly undermine and undercut the position of the DOJ in moving to dismiss the charges. Infuriating, remarkable and transparently political.
Judge Sullivan even cited famously political Judge Amy Berman Jackson, a subtle hat/tip to President Obama’s recent May 8th instructions. Sullivan’s order can put to rest any contemplation of him holding corrupt prosecutor Brandon Van Grack to account; and only further delays removing the sword of damocles from atop Lt. General Michael Flynn.
The transparent purpose of allowing public comment, specifically from the Lawfare resistance group, is to undermine the DOJ and further create a political narrative around AG Bill Barr. However, on the positive side this might stir Barr to release even more damaging information to counter the political efforts of Judge Sullivan. Quite remarkable.

If Sullivan thinks he can rule against General Flynn after the charges against him have been dropped, there will surely be an appeal. And I don't think there will be any Gag Order on General Flynn nor any impediment to the White House taking General Flynn back into the Administration.
So what does this accomplish? It protexts Sullivan from reprisals from the Obama coup axis.
Sullivan is scared.
Democrats are evil scum.
If this is the best the left has they're in trouble!
This is an obvious shout out to Obama and Holder “Hey what do you want me to do now?”
Barr better hit back hard, and send a friend of he court brief that now adds a lot of things they didn’t say originally, about how all these agents were fired, are now being criminally investigated, etc. And they need to release it ASAP.
Flynn’s attorney needs to move this case from this despicable, out of touch judge. I am so sick of these black robe types gumming up the works.
He called Flynn a traitor the very first day. I have / had no faith in him.
More troubling (for Sullivan) is that the Obama inJustice Department DID THE SAME THING in Sullivan’s court just years before!
See, it is okay and unremarkable for a criminal case to be dropped after the defendant pleads guilty due to prosecutor crimes and misconduct - but a criminal act itself when a republican-led DOJ does the same thing!
Shouldn’t “Judge” Sullivan be requesting Comrades of the Court briefs instead?
Seems maybe Barr should start an inquiry on this judge.
As a friend of the court, I recommend that Judge Sullivan dismiss the case immediately, as the DOJ has already decided not to prosecute. What else there to say?!

Judge Sullivan has been a good guy in the past. Maybe this is a way to ‘call out’ people. Let them state their position publicly so the hammer can drop later. Who knows? It will be very disappointing if he sides with the Deep State, but I’m used to it now.

Let me very bluntly say this. Okay. this judge is a dirtbag. He needs to be watched very closely. I don’t trust him. He is dick deep in Obama’s asshole.
